Therefore, the idea arose that it would be nice to have a compact case.

I searched for a long time. There are cheap ones in the form of a wallet, but wanted a solid foundation. There are plastic, they look very high quality, but the price stopped.
And then I found a seller who specializes in them. I wanted to win at the auction, but “tasty prices” were constantly being interrupted. So I spat and bought at a fixed rate. Having counted, I realized that it turned out to be somewhat cheaper than in the bids at the auction.

I decided to test it on the adapter and microSD card received today.

They sit tight. I tried to tap the case on the palm of my hand microSD crashes, SD sits well (apparently due to the fact that it is pressed against by the inner cover).

I didn't like the impossibility to open the case up to 180 degrees. microSD cards have a notch for picking out on the side of the fold of the case and this can be inconvenient for people with short nails.

Our product will be in the form of a piston with a connecting rod. The master found parts from an old typewriter and melted it in a muffle furnace. Before pouring, the container where we will pour it also needs to be heated in a muffle furnace, otherwise we will get a hot fountain. In some places, there are micro bubbles in the part, since you need to experiment with the temperature and get rid of toxins. But in this case, we don't really care, since it's not a part from an airplane.

SD card case

We make a piston cover - a cover and cut a thread on it. It will be the smallest that is possible on this machine - 0.5 millimeters. We grind the main part of the piston from the same blank. You need to choose on the thread and there should still be a small space for the SD card.

Duralumin is a soft metal, so it turned out that it is easier to cut the thread by rotating the cartridge by hand. After grinding, the very micro bubbles are visible, but the truth on the video they seem to be larger, in fact they are small ... Shooting in macro.

On ours, as on a real piston, we make slots for the rings. They are needed not only for beauty, but also to hide the junction. Reverse video. The most important detail is ready!

Now we drill under the finger, only not our own, but the piston one. We also grind from the back side. Remove the inner chamfer. On the side of the skirt, the piston is usually not perfectly straight. It has two indentations. We do the same.

We will make a connecting rod from this metal rod. This milling method is not the best, but so far. In general, we make a plate from round timber. The bore on the piston side should be smaller, on the crankshaft side larger. We draw the contours of the connecting rod and grind it. As they say, the grinder is an indispensable tool in precise processing! We grind, polish, bring to a normal form!

One more detail is ready, now we are making a stopper so that the connecting rod does not dangle freely in the piston. Some will scold for the lack of a center when turning a finger, but believe me, it will not work at this diameter. The diameter of the pin should be slightly larger than the hole in the piston in order to press it there. After adjustment, the sleeve is cut into two parts. Everything is ready! Collectable.

When sanding, you need to be careful, since duralumin is softer than steel. And of course GOI paste. I bought material at a hardware store. It looks like a finely pored rubber, quite soft. It is self-adhesive. Cut out two circles from it along the diameter of the inner part of our cache. In this way, with the help of a case, we will protect the contacts of the microSD card. And the final touch is a decorative and functional chain.

This short overview is about a pretty useful thing. Storage case
SD and micro SD cards will be useful to many, tk. currently
almost everyone has several memory cards as well as
micro SD to SD adapters, some of which are stored haphazardly.

plus, but when you urgently need to find a card, because of its small size, this

In general, the thing is quite useful, so I can safely recommend it to
purchase. The only drawback is that the black color is quite easily soiled and
leaves traces of fingers, so it is better to take it uncoated
(silver).
