Imperial Legion - Civil War. Skyrim walkthrough for the Imperial Legion (civil war) Skyrim walkthrough Storm Brothers

Tactics in the Imperial Legion are in charge of Legate Rikke, a middle-aged northerner.

The Imperial Legion is an expeditionary army fighting rebels for the good of Tamriel, which is now under the rule of the Thalmor elves. The credo of the legion is law and order, and General Tullius, not without reason, believes that a separated Skyrim will not benefit either the Empire or itself.

The missions for the legion largely repeat the tasks of the Stormcloaks - only in a “mirror” form. However, there are differences in the plot. We'll briefly describe the "duplicate" jobs and tell you more about the discrepancies.

Joining the Imperial Legion

The leader of the Hragstad bandits is so enthusiastically admiring the map that he has forgotten about everything in the world.

You can receive the task to join the ranks of the legionnaires at the very beginning, if you select the legionnaire Hadvar when escaping from Helgen. At the exit from the cave, he will invite the hero to go to General Tullius and enroll in the army. If you did not receive this quest or chose the rebel Ralof when fleeing, just go up to any legionnaire you meet (they often roam the roads accompanying prisoners) and take it.

General Tullius lives in the Dark Castle in Solitude. When you enter the legion headquarters, the general will argue with Legate Rikke. Since communication with Tullius under Helgen was, frankly speaking, short, he will immediately send us to the legate, and she will offer a test task. We need to clear the Hragstad fortress from bandits so that the legion can establish an outpost there.

This task is much more difficult than the Stormcloak entrance test. There was only one monster, albeit a strong one, but here there was a whole fort with a dozen bandits. Some roam outside, some in the courtyard, some on the castle walls, one on the tower, and the rest in the main and prison rooms of the fortress. There are no special puzzles here. All enemies are indicated by arrows on the compass, so you won’t be in danger of missing the “last sectoid”.

Return to the Gloomy Castle, listen to the conversation about the Jagged Crown - Legate Rikke persuades the general to send troops (including the “auxiliary”, that is, us) to capture the crown. After the conversation, Rikke will rejoice at our successes and send us to Tullius to take the oath. Taking a solemn oath will mean failing the quest to join the Stormcloaks, if you have one.

Serrated crown

“And here is your Panama hat!” - Legate Rikke hits the next Storm Brother with his shield. A real Valkyrie!

This quest mirrors what the Stormcloaks give you if you choose the rebel path. In the ancient cairn of Korvanjund, the Jagged Crown was found - an important symbol of the supreme power of Skyrim, and now the first to enter the dungeon were no longer legionnaires, but rebels. General Tullius does not understand why the crown is needed, but Legate Rikke convinced him that it was impossible to give such a valuable thing to Ulfric.

Before you go to Korvanjund, take a legionnaire’s set from the blacksmith Beirand - light armor, heavy or medium (it’s also light, but with a heavy shield).

The place we need on the map is north of Whiterun and east of the Lorey farm. A group of legionnaires stands in a small forest near the cairn and listens to Rikke’s instructions. After the conversation, the whole gang will move to the burial ground, where the Storm Brothers will meet us.

You don't have to fight at all - Legate Rikke is indestructible, and the accompanying fighters are reborn. But there is nothing wrong with helping your own people. Several soldiers are on duty outside, the rest are hiding inside and are not waiting for us yet. When Rikke announces an ambush, go up one level and bring down burning lamps on the rebels standing with their feet in the oil.

At the secret door, pick up the ebony claw and use the wolf-butterfly-dragon combination. In the hall with the coffins, go up to the upper level and, by turning the lever, help Rikka and the legionnaires get rid of the draugr. After this, all that remains is to remove the crown from the draugr, who is sitting on the throne in a relaxed position. To do this, you need to kill him and a couple of his assistants from the sarcophagi on the sides.

Take the crown, the word of Power - and return to Tullius.

You can give the crown to Ulfric - then you will go over to his side. This is the last opportunity to change faction.

Message for Whiterun

This task is also “mirror”, but this time it is not Ulfric who asks us to take the ax to the Earl of Whiterun, but on the contrary - the Earl of Whiterun asks us to take his ax to Ulfric (and gets just as irritated if we ask: “Why the ax?”). True, first, on the instructions of Tullius, you need to come with a message from the legion to the Dragon's Reach and listen to how the jarl consults with his entourage.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: The quest will not be completed until the plot task “Dragon in the Sky” is completed - the jarl will simply refuse to accept the message.

Then we run with the ax to Ulfric, and after that the differences begin: we do not take Whiterun, but defend it. The council of war in the room above the throne room is held in the company of the imperial legate. He accepts the task “Message for Whiterun” from us and gives the following - “Battle of Whiterun”.

Battle of Whiterun

Hadvar can easily see the speck in his neighbor's eye, but in his own he doesn't even notice the arrow.

Flames pour down from the sky onto Whiterun - the city is being bombarded by catapults. Legate Rikke is waiting outside the gate. When she sees us, she will make a speech to a handful of warriors who are about to fight another handful of warriors.

The battle of Whiterun follows the usual template, which was already described in the passage for the Stormcloaks: there are weak fighters on both sides, they are reborn, and dead enemies are noted on the percentage counter. When it reaches zero, we win. The only difference is that here we have a couple of side objectives: protecting the barricades at the gate and protecting the drawbridge if the barricades fall.

Keeping even a bridge or a gate intact is a difficult task, since there are many enemies and they are capable of demolishing the flimsy “goats” in a couple of blows or shots. You can break through to the stables where the Stormcloaks are reborn and try to distract them. Or you can take advantage of a bug.

One way or another, you do not have to complete side quests or even participate in the battle. When it's over, check in with the jarl (he will come out of the gate to make a speech) and return to Tullius, who will give us the title of quaestor.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: the remaining quests are collected under the name "Unification of Skyrim".

Disinformation

“Is the Storm Brotherhood fleeing?” - “Everyone is running!”

Our new mission is to regain control of the White Beach.

In the White Bank camp, the hero will be met by Rikke and given another “mirror” task. Like the Stormcloaks, you need to track down and kill the courier. To do this, check out the Night Gate tavern or the Windhelm establishment Hearth and Candle. The bartender will tell you where to look for the courier - for money, for threats or persuasion. After this, an arrow will appear on the map indicating our goal.

Kill the courier, take the documents and deliver to Rikka.

The second part of the task is to take the documents to Dawnstar, a commander named Frokmar Torn Banner. After a normal conversation (“why not in the form?” - “so that the enemy doesn’t guess!”), the task will be completed. Return to Legate Rikka.

Battle of Dunstad Fort

The most peaceful place in Dunstad is the Awkward Sabertooth Tavern. Above the fireplace is the saber tooth itself.

To finally recapture the region from the Stormcloaks, you need to storm Fort Dunstad. This is not a quest, but a battle - the enemies here are weak, constantly reborn, and the percentage counter shows how much more hacking and stabbing is left before victory.

After the battle, Tullius will promote the hero to prefect and send him to the Rift.

War booty

The target is a sentry. A volley of two arrows should take him down.

Rikke will give out another “mirror” task - with blackmail.

Our goal is Anuriel, the ruler of the Jarl of Riften. She is doing business with the Thieves Guild, and the incriminating note will be found in the chest of drawers in her office. Wave a note in front of Anuriel's face, and she will lead you into the office and tell you about the cart with valuable cargo. The carriage travels from Riften to Windhelm - it travels slowly and is poorly guarded. The information is very useful.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: Return to Rikka and she will send you to meet the scouts located north of Riften, at Shor's watchtower. The scouts are led by Hadvar. As in a similar task of the Storm Brothers, the cart broke down, and we have two options: attack the guards ourselves or with the help of scouts (they will help with fire). The scouts can be persuaded to wait until nightfall, but there is no point in doing so.

The sentry wanders along a high rock - if you accept the help of Hadvar's group, they will “take down” him with their bows.

Fort Greenwall has strong walls and a small courtyard.

The Battle of Fort Greenwall is another typical battle. The fort is located north of Riften. When ours win and the enemy counter is reset, return to Tullius. He will say that the legion is already on Ulfric’s doorstep, and the decisive battle is coming soon. And we are going to Winterhold, to a secret camp.

Fort Kastav - saving comrades

They shined torches everywhere, searched everywhere, but no weapons were found.

The legate will give a new situation: captured legionnaires are languishing in Fort Kastav. Hadvar's sabotage group has taken refuge in the hills below the fort, and she will be happy to send us forward to save the legionnaires.

Unlike the “mirror” task for the Stormcloaks, here you won’t have to look for the secret entrance for long. The hatch is right under the wall. There are several sentries inside the fortress. You can steal the key from them, but this will not bring much benefit, so it is better to free the prisoners by removing the keys from their bodies. The prisoners will return the armor, but weapons are tight, so they will have to help in battle - they won’t fight much with their fists.

Find Hadvar in or near the fortress, give him a report and return to Tullius, who will promote the hero to legate and give him heavy Daedric armor.

Battle of Amol Fort

Quite unexpectedly, Fort Amol, along with legionnaires, was attacked by an ancient dragon. They finished him off only in the morning.

Our next stop is a camp in Eastmarch, from where the hero will be sent to battle for Fort Amol. This is a classic “percentage” battle - the last one in the plot. After him, Legate Rikke will immediately send him to Windhelm, where the final act of the drama about the struggle between the “reds” and the “blues” is about to take place.

Battle of Windhelm

"We meet again, my old enemy!"

Fire charges from Ulfric's catapults are flying from the city, but General Tullius and his soldiers are already standing in the “dead zone” at the very gates. After a short speech, the group will enter the city.

The main task is not to destroy the enemies, but to go through the entire city and get to the royal palace as quickly as possible, where the Earl of Windhelm is holed up. The main passage to the palace is blocked with barricades (this time - real ones, which cannot be penetrated by either a sword or an arrow), so we will have to immediately turn left, go down to the cemetery, go through the narrow streets under figurines of ravens, turn right under the high walls and thus ending up at the entrance to the palace. Enemies will respawn on our way, so if you are not confident in your abilities, stick to the main group of legionnaires.

There is no need to do anything inside anymore. If you want, help Tullius and Rikka deal with Ulfric and his faithful dog Galmar. The final choice is to deliver the final blow to the defeated jarl or give the honor to the general.

In any case, the war has been won, and all we have left is to destroy individual groups of Stormcloaks hiding in the hills if we wish!

Joining the Imperial Legion

This task opens a chain of quests for the Imperial Legion - one of the two factions participating in the civil war. It can be presented by any soldier representing the Empire.

If you decided before the start of the game that you want to join the Empire, then in the introductory mission just run after Hadvar, the legionnaire who wrote down the names of the prisoners before execution. After a successful escape, he will invite you to contact your superiors to join the legion.

After receiving the quest, go to Solitude, where the Imperial Legion base is located. There you will find General Tullius, the leader of the faction, with whom you need to talk. After the conversation, the general will send you to Legate Rikka, who deals with newcomers.

To test your capabilities in practice, she will ask you to clear the Hragstad base, which is located above and to the left of the city. There you have to deal with all the thugs, conquering the fort for the faction.

Once there, you will find that all enemies are marked with a marker, which makes the task much easier. Moreover, you won’t meet particularly strong opponents in the area, so feel free to step forward. Having successfully completed the task, talk to Rikke again, and only then to Tullius himself, who will agree to accept you into the legion.

3 jagged crown

Your first official task, during which you will have to clear the ruins of Korvanjund and find the ancient regalia of the Nords - the Jagged Crown. The initiator of the campaign was Rikke, who decided that if the Stormcloaks were the first to get to the artifact, this would only strengthen Ulfric’s position.

Go to the indicated point, located near the ruins. You will come across a detachment of Imperials and Hadvar, already familiar to you. According to the latter, the enemies got here before you, so you will have to fight inside. Once preparations are complete, you will head to the ruins.

The immortal Rikke will lead your squad, so feel free to follow her.

Clear the ruins from the rebels and move forward. At the third hall, the legate will sense an ambush and order you to check the upper level - use the right passage to detect opponents. After this, a battle will begin, in which your comrades in arms will help you, and only then you will head to the next level of ruins - “Halls”.

Here the Stormcloaks will appear on your way again until you finally reach the door puzzle. Open it using the key from the corpse that lies nearby (the order is as follows: wolf-insect-dragon).

After this, another riddle awaits you - you need to find a hidden lever that will open the way to further advancement.

The lever itself is located higher - on the second level along the stairs on the side and across the bridge.

As soon as you open the door, draugr will suddenly awaken and you will have to fight them. The next level of the location is called “Crypt”.

The final hall will greet you with an impressive throne, on which, apparently, the draugr king sits, since the sought-after regalia is in his possession.

You won't have to fight him specifically, but many other undead Nords will attack you.

Study the Word of Power at the nearby wall and return to Tullius. By the way, you can also go to the leader of the opposing side, Ulfric, to change sides. This is your last chance to choose a faction.

With a message for Whiterun

When you deliver the Jagged Crown, Tullius will ask you to visit Whiterun, where Jarl Balgruuf sits. There has been information that this trading city will soon be attacked by rebels, and that is why you must warn their leader.

Having learned about Ulfric's plans, the Earl of Whiterun will send you to him personally with a specific request - to deliver an ax. This is an ancient custom of the Nords, to which rulers resort at the very last moment. If the side accepts the weapon, then the battle is averted.

You will find the leader of the Stormcloaks in Windhelm. Naturally, the warlike leader will refuse to accept the ax and will send you back. All you have to do is tell Balgruuf about Stormcloak's decision to allow the Empire to enter the city for its defense.

Battle of Whiterun

After talking with Scipius, you will go to defend the city. Outside you will see that the attack has begun in full force - talk to Rikke near the walls.

When you arrive, the legate will try to raise the morale of the soldiers with a pathetic speech, after which he will lead you and them into battle. Your task is to kill as many rebels as possible until the counter on the side reaches 100% value. Until this point, the enemy will respawn endlessly.

There are also secondary tasks in this task, which consists in the defense of specific positions. So, at first you will have to defend the barricades, killing advancing enemies. If the defense is broken through, you will retreat to the bridge, after which the task will be updated - you will need to protect it.

When the attack is repulsed, the enemy will retreat. After that, visit the general to get a promotion and a new weapon.

About the unification of Skyrim

A long quest associated with a series of small tasks of the same type. To complete it, you will have to conquer all the cities captured by the Stormcloaks.

In addition, the quest involves completing the mission “Endless Time”, during which you will have to conclude a truce between the warring parties. How you resolve the issue of peace (we are talking about the transfer of cities from hand to hand) will determine your future goals.

Capture White Beach

After the triumphant victory at Whiterun, Tullius will promote you, deciding that you have nothing more to do in the role of “infantry”. Now you will complete tasks of special importance, on which the entire Empire campaign in Skyrim depends.

Go to Rikka, who is located in the camp near the White Beach. The legate will decide to thwart the enemy's plans by planting fake orders to the rebel commander. But first you need to steal real documents, which is what you will do.

A messenger with the Stormcloak's plans travels from Windhelm to Dawnstar. Before using fast travel, be aware that the rider moves in real time.

On the way, he will visit two taverns, so it makes sense to immediately go to the “Night Gate”. There you can tell the owner about the messenger who should soon visit this tavern. If you convince the owner, he will tell you that the rebel has already stopped here, but is currently away on other business. Now the rider is indicated on your map - all you have to do is wait for him.

It is not worth killing the messenger in the tavern, since there are many witnesses around. If you don't want to become a criminal, then just follow the rider on the road and kill him somewhere in the wilderness. In addition, documents can be stolen from his pocket when he goes to bed.

When the job is done, take the information to the legate. It turns out that the rebels demand more soldiers for Dawnstar, since the local army is no longer enough.

Then Rikke will redo the documents and send you to the Stormcloaks - take the fake to the indicated location and return to the legate.

Now that the rebels have lost troops in this region, you can conquer Fort Dunstad. Go to the point where your brothers in arms are located. Together with them, storm the fortress and destroy all enemies. The battle will continue until the percentages drop to 0.

After the battle, return to Tullius and tell him about your success. The general will give you another useful item, and then invite you to visit the new camp.

Capture the Rift

This property will need to be returned second by default, but during negotiations you can transfer this city, which will make the task unavailable.

Stop by the Rift camp where Rikke awaits you. She will send you to the city with a specific purpose - to probe the local jarl named Anuriel for blackmail. As the Empire knows, it collaborates with the Thieves Guild - it is this nasty connection that you can take advantage of.

To find incriminating evidence, you will have to get into Mistvale Castle and get documents with which you can then blackmail the jarl. In general, wandering around in this fortress is prohibited, so you will have to use stealth.

If your stealth skill is not leveled up, just run past the guards (they will try to stop you), without examining anything in the area, take the letter from the box and leave.

Next, go to Anuriel and show her your find. If you put pressure on her, she will agree to cooperate with the legion and give you valuable information - a caravan carrying gold and weapons is moving to the rebel capital Windhelm. Use the information and defeat this detachment.

By the way, not far from the road, on a hill, a detachment of imperials will be waiting for you, who will gladly help you deal with the rebels. Among your comrades you will also find Hadvar, who will offer you to come out from afar, using ranged combat, or attack head-on.

After telling Rikka about your success, you will receive a new assignment - to conquer the Greenwall fortress. You will find this fort below Shor Stone. Kill enemies on the spot until the counter finally stops. As a reward for victory, the general will give you a unique item and send you to a new camp.

You will find a new camp below and to the right of the city of Dawnstar. The legate will tell you that your brothers in arms were captured by the rebels, placing them in the prisons of the Kastav fortress. It is necessary to conquer the fort and return freedom to the captured imperials.

On the spot you will come across Hadvar’s friend, who again, as in the previous task, will offer two options: go ahead or use the secret passage, which is located on the side of the fortress. If everything is clear with the first, then in the second case you will have to secretly get close to the fort, without catching the eye of the guards defending the wall, and go down.

This way you can immediately go to the prison where the prisoners are kept. Kill the guard, take the key to the cages, and then free the legionnaires to get reinforcements.

Together with them, as well as Hadvar's detachment, you will attack the fort from both sides and leave no chance for the rebels. When you inform Tullius of the completed task, he will promote you to legate.

This task opens only after negotiations during the quest “Endless Time”. You must give the city of Markarth to the rebels, and then the mission will become available.

Unlike the previous ones, this order is not unique. You must visit the next camp of the empire, and then simply clear the Sangard fortress. Other legionnaires will help you, and the battle will again have to continue until zero percent.

Capture Eastmarch

The war in the province of Skyrim is coming to an end. Most of the rebellious country is back under Imperial control, and it's up to you to deal the penultimate blow. To open the way to the enemy capital Windhelm, you must conquer Eastmarch.

Visit the camp below and to the right of Windhelm, where the legate awaits you. Rikke will send you to capture Fort Amol, where you just need to slaughter the entire garrison. Lower the percentage value to zero to complete the task.

Battle of Windhelm

The civil war is on the verge of ending. The Empire's army has already approached the enemy's capital and has begun its assault - you need to join them as quickly as possible. Having passed the entrance bridge, you will stumble upon the troops and Tullius himself, who is giving a speech. As soon as his eloquence runs out, the attack will begin.

Together with your brothers in arms, make your way inside the city. If during the defense of Whiterun you defended it, hiding behind the barricades, now you will have to break through the latter, destroying all the barriers. The ultimate goal of the offensive is to break into the palace and kill Ulfric Stormcloak.

Some paths will be impassable, so periodically you will have to turn off and take a different path.

After the first detachment of rebels, move left and go out to the bazaar. After destroying the enemies, pass the forge and go out to the cemetery, where they will try to stop you again.

After this, having dealt with the next barrier, go out into the rich quarter. Here turn right and go through the alley to the castle. On the way to it, all you have to do is kill the last defenders and then go inside.

Now you need to kill the rebel leader Ulfric and his loyal ally Galmar. By the way, Tullius and Rikke will fight on your side, so don’t be afraid, the enemies won’t offer strong resistance.

When the leader of the rebels is brought to his knees, all that remains is to finish him off - Tullius will shift this honor onto your shoulders. You can refuse, but then the general himself will kill Ulfric.

Finally, as a reward for your great victory, Tullius will give you his own unique sword. When the job is done, go outside and listen to the general's next speech. This completes the line of the Imperial Legion.

Like if it was useful

Joining the Imperial Legion

To join the ranks of the Imperial Legion, you must receive the appropriate task. If at the very beginning of the game you escaped from the burning Helgen together with the legionnaire Hadvar, then when leaving the cave he will advise you to join the imperial troops. This task can also be taken from many other legionnaires located in various imperial camps throughout Skyrim, as well as from imperial officers in cities that are under the control of the legion.

When you receive information about the civil war and the Imperial Legion, the quest “Join the Imperial Legion” will appear in your diary. You need to go to Solitude and talk to General Tullius.

Note:

If you join the Stormcloaks, the quest to join the Imperial Legion will be considered failed. However, the final decision to join the ranks of one side or another will be made by you at the end of the quest “The Jagged Crown”.

General Tullius can be found in the central hall of Castle Gloom in Solitude. You will find him and Legate Rikke discussing the current situation during the civil war. After you announce to the general your desire to join the ranks of the legionnaires, he will send you to discuss this issue with Legate Rikke. In turn, the legate will show a desire to test your combat abilities, instructing you to clear Fort Hragstad from the bandits entrenched there. Fort Hragstad is located northwest of Solitude, on the coast of the Sea of Ghosts. Your goal will be to destroy all the bandits in the fort, both outside and inside. This is quite easy to do, since each bandit is marked with a separate marker on your compass.

Serrated crown

After swearing allegiance to the Imperial Legion, you are tasked with meeting with Legate Rikke near the Nord ruins of Korvanjund. Your goal is to find the Jagged Crown - an old Nordic symbol of power. Rikke convinced Tullius that the crown must never fall into Ulfric's hands, and that the soldiers of the Imperial Legion must reach the crown first.

Message for Whiterun

Having received the crown from your hands, General Tullius will thank you for the successfully completed task and give you the next assignment. You need to go to Dragonsreach and deliver a secret message from Tullius to the Earl of Whiterun: the general tells Balgruuf that Ulfric has gathered enough troops to capture Whiterun.

Note:

The jarl will refuse to accept a letter from you if the quest along the main plot of the game “Dragon in the Sky” is active. In this case, to continue, you will need to first complete it, and only then continue to carry out the general’s instructions.

Having handed over the letter to the jarl, you listen to his meeting with his entourage, at the end of which Balgruuf asks you to carry out an assignment - to take the ax to Ulfric Stormcloak on his behalf. This is an ancient Nordic custom: if Ulfric takes the ax, then there will be peace, but if not, battle cannot be avoided.

Battle of Whiterun

Quentius Scipius sends you to the front line under the command of Legate Rikke. On the road from the Dragon's Reach to the city gates, you will see how the guards disperse the townspeople to their homes, and Whiterun itself is bombarded with projectiles from catapults.

Legate Rikke, along with a detachment of city defenders, is waiting for you near the outer city walls. When you approach, she will give an inspiring speech and send you along with other legionnaires to fight the invaders. Your goal is to destroy the attacking Stormcloak soldiers. Their number is measured as a percentage, and you must kill rebels until their number drops to zero. The soldiers themselves are periodically reborn as new batches of attackers as you destroy them. Similar “percentage battles” will occur more than once during the Civil War campaign.

Unification of Skyrim

This task combines several others, the common goal of which is the complete and gradual reconquest of Skyrim, possession by possession. This part of the Civil War campaign is directly connected to the main story quest "The Endless Time", during which you need to negotiate peace between the Stormcloaks and the Imperial Legion. Depending on the decision you make, the factions will exchange cities and, accordingly, take control of a new possession.

Thus, based on the results of the exchange, you will have to capture one or another area of Skyrim. For example, if you have not yet completed the main plot of the game or have not reached the peace negotiations, then Markarth and the entire Reach are under the control of the Imperial Legion, and the Stormcloaks, in turn, control Riften and the entire Rift domain. In this case, if you are fighting on the side of the Imperial Legion, your goal will be to capture the Rift. If the exchange took place, then instead of the Rift you will have to capture the Reach.

IN take back control of White Beach

Note:

If Dawnstar was handed over to the Imperials during the quest "Time Without End", then this quest will be skipped.

Disinformation

General Tullius will inform you that it is foolish to use you as an ordinary soldier, and will send you under the command of Legate Rikke to the secret Imperial camp on the White Beach for a special mission. The Legate will share her plan with you: she wants to plant fake orders on the Stormcloak commander in Dawnstar, but to do this, she first needs to get the real ones.

IN take back control of Rift

Note:

If during the quest "Time Without End" Riften was handed over to the Imperials, then this quest will be skipped.

War booty

The next possession that must be returned to the rule of the Empire is the Rift. The general once again sends you under the command of Legate Rikke to the imperial camp in the Rift. Upon arrival, you will be instructed to go to Riften and try to find out how much the steward of Jarl Anuriel is susceptible to blackmail. Rikka knows that the Altmer are quite closely connected with the Thieves Guild, and the legion can take advantage of this by threatening the manager with declassification of her dark affairs.

Your goal is the Riften Mistveil Fortress. Immediately behind the central hall, on the right, is Anuriel's room. You need to find a compromising letter to intimidate the Altmer with it. The letter is located in the chest of drawers, and it is not difficult to find it, since the marker on your compass points to it. The only difficulty can be caused by the guards who will follow you and inform you that you cannot be in this part of the fortress. The easiest way is to quickly run past them and pick up the letter.

After you have the letter, you should show it to Anuriel. Such evidence will quickly intimidate the manager, and she will want to talk to you alone. Follow her into the room and demand information about the rebels in exchange for silence. Having agreed to your terms, Anuriel will inform you that a strategically important caravan of rebels with gold and weapons has set off towards Windhelm. It moves very slowly, and is guarded by a small detachment of Stormcloaks. Also, if you use persuasion in a conversation with the manager, she will give you a small advance in the form of gold.

Returning to the legate, you will tell him about the information obtained. Rikke will send you to find a small group of legionnaires, led by Hadvar, who were sent to reconnaissance just in the region where the rebel caravan should pass. Your task is obvious: you must attack the rebels and rob the caravan.

The cart with gold and weapons stopped near the settlement of Kamen Shora. It is guarded by a small group of soldiers, and several more rebels are nearby on patrol. Having reached Hadvar and explained the task to him, you will have a choice: invite Hadvar to wait for darkness and quietly remove the sentries with the help of bows, or go forward yourself. In any case, killing a squad of Stormcloaks will not be so difficult, since there are not many opponents, and Hadvar is not killable in this mission.

Having captured the cart, you can profit from the contents of the chest standing on it, after which you need to return to Legate Rikka.

Battle of Fort Greenwall

Upon returning to the imperial camp, the legate will entrust you with the next task - together with a detachment of legionnaires, to capture Fort Greenwall, which, due to the capture of the caravan, was left without support and weapons.

Fort Greenwall is located south of the settlement of Stone Shora. Once you reach the waiting legionnaires, you will move to attack the unsuspecting Stormcloak soldiers. The already familiar principle of capturing a fort awaits you: you must clear it of enemies until the counter showing their number shows “0%”.

IN take back control of Winterhold

Fort Kastav - saving comrades

Legate Rikke is waiting for you at the imperial camp southeast of Dawnstar. She will inform you that a detachment of your Legion comrades is being captured by the rebels in Fort Kastav. Your goal is to take the enemy by surprise and free the prisoners of war, and then capture the enemy fort.

You will meet with a small group of legionnaires, led by Hadvar, near the fort. Your old acquaintance will suggest that you sneak into the fort unnoticed, since he knows where the secret entrance to the fort's prison premises is located. The hatch leading to your comrades is located directly under the wall, opposite which Hadvar shared his plans with you. Finding it will not be difficult, as it will be marked with a marker on your compass. However, you need to move carefully, because if you are noticed, the secret penetration of the prisoners will fail, and you will have to take the fort by storm with little support from Hadvar's detachment.

Going down through the hatch into the prison, you will find yourself in a small room, through which you will exit into a large hall. To your left is a staircase leading to the second floor, where the guards are stationed. If you go forward, you will come out to five prison cells in which your legion brothers are sitting. Your goal is to free the legionnaires by opening the door. You can kill the guards and take the keys to the cells from the corpse of one of them, or you can pick the locks yourself, since their complexity does not exceed the level of “novice” and “adept”.

Note:

The liberated legionnaires will quickly change into the armor that was taken from them, but not all of them will find or pick up weapons from the corpses of the guards. In this regard, in the future they can attack armed opponents with their fists, which will lead to their quick death. However, to successfully complete the task, keeping them alive is not at all necessary.

Now your task is to capture the enemy fort. The exit from the prison to the courtyard is on the second floor, where the guards stood. The liberated legion soldiers will follow you, and when the battle begins, Hadvar's squad will come to the rescue. Unlike previous captures of forts, in Kastav the Stormcloak soldiers are not reborn and their number is limited. Each enemy is marked with a marker, so clearing the fort from rebels will be quite simple.

The Stormcloaks are the opposition to the Empire, which seeks to completely control Skyrim and constantly deploys its troops of soldiers in the surrounding area. The Stormcloaks, in turn, oppose her and fight to keep Skyrim independent. Among them you will meet the bravest and most fearless Nords. It is impossible to call any of the warring parties right. Each has its own good and bad sides, as well as its own secrets. Therefore, passing the game Skyrim gives the player the right to take any side.

How to join the Stormcloaks?

To join their ranks, find a certain Galmar, nicknamed Stone Fist, in Windhelm. He is located in the Royal Palace and conducts recruiting for new recruits. Tell him that you want to join the guild. He will answer you that there is always a need for new soldiers, but you must bring proof of your usefulness.

Joining the Stormcloaks

The introductory task will be quite easy and short. Find the Snake Stone (the map will help) and destroy the ice spirit near it. Complete the objective and return to Galmar. Then read the oath and put on the clothes of the militia. Everyone, congratulations, you have joined the Stormcloaks.

Serrated crown

Next, Stone Fist will ask you to find the Jagged Crown to complete the game Skyrim. You need to go to the ancient burial place of the Nords. It's called Corvanjud. Whenever you go out, Galmar will claim to be ahead of you. Try to arrive at least five seconds before him. The warrior will report that the Imperials have already invaded the burial place and are waiting near the entrance. In addition, he will complain that the Stormcloaks are very cold, and the Imperials are warming themselves by their fires. You need to drive out the Imperials, or better yet, just kill them all. When you have dealt with everyone, the road to the ruins will be clear and you can enter. There you will meet six more enemies - kill them too. There will still be Imperials ahead of you. Don't spare anyone. Then Galmar will begin to suspect an “ambush”. He will ask you, as a “new guy,” to go check and promise to join the battle if anything happens. They will hear her. If you want to finish playing Skyrim, don't rush forward. Try to go from above first.

The Imperial below is probably not very smart. It sits in a pool of oil, which catches fire easily. And above his head there is a flaming jug. Drop it on the enemy's head either with a spell or with an arrow from a bow. Or you can just engage him in battle. Besides him, four more guards are in the room. When attacking them, you will see Galmar running in with his men. Deal with the enemies and go to the next tier of the burial. When you enter there you will come across a locked door. A claw lying near the door will help open it. In addition, you will have to solve a very simple puzzle. Just line up the animal on top, then the bird, then the remaining picture. You will then enter a room with a locked grate. Of course, you need to figure out how to open it. Above it you will find a dagger lying on a button. To complete the game Skyrim, take it. Then you will see a secret passage that has opened. He will lead you to a room full of traps. Very carefully open the chest located there.

Otherwise, you will not be able to avoid the bullets fired at you. Don't press the lever - it closes the door. Take everything you need and go back. Then reach the opposite side through the ledges. Then you will see a handle that you need to press. This way, you will open the grate, and at this time four Draugr will appear from their coffins. Kill them and proceed to the Krypt. Galmar will report that the crown is close. Start looking for her. Then on the throne you will see a man, on whose head rests the thing you need.

Of course, completing the game Skyrim cannot be so simple and it will not give you the crown. You need to take it from the draugr by force. Destroy them all and take the crown from their commander. And behind the throne you will find a new word of power inscribed on the wall. Now take the found crown to the customer. However, take your time and don't run through the corridors. Near the wall where you read the word of power is a small wooden ladder. If you climb it, you will see a corridor leading to the temple. It turns out this is the first burial site. Then head to the Petrel, give him the crown. He, in turn, will send you to take the ax to Balgruuf, the jarl in Whiterun. This will be your next task.

You can give the crown to Ulfric - then you will go over to his side. This is the last opportunity to change faction.

You need to not only hand over the ax to Ulfric, the jarl in Whiterun, but also wait for his response. Go to the palace in Whiterun. If you get there for the first time, you will be stopped by the jarl's thane. To complete the game Skyrim, tell him that you are coming with a message from the Stormcloak. Then they will let you in. In addition, if you have not been there yet, first complete the main story quest (find the tablet and destroy the dragon). Only then will you receive an answer.

It turns out that Balgruuf decided to return the ax to Stormcloak. Fulfill his wish. But Ulfric still intends to start a war with Whiterun. And you, of course, will be on the front line. So, head to the military camp, which is located in the vicinity of Whiterun.

Go there and listen to Stone Fist's rant. Then enter the battle. You need to open the road to the suspension bridge. Go to the opposite side as you please. You can climb over the ledges or jump over the top of the moat. Then climb up the gate and lower the bridge. Enter the city through it and destroy all the enemies you encounter. Get to the castle and kill all the guards in it, and take after them and the jarl. You will have a pompous dialogue with him. The Jarl will insist that you will all repent of your deeds. And Galmar will shout at him to shut up and that you have conquered the city. You are really successfully completing the passage of the game Skyrim - after all, you have captured a city that now needs command. You will be sent with a message about the victory to Windhelm.

Battle of Whiterun

Deal with the Whiterun guards and the Imperials. Get to the devices and lower the bridge down. Then rush to the dragon's border, where you overthrow the jarl. After completing all the tasks, go to Ulfric.

Liberation of Skyrim

Now Galmar, nicknamed Stone Fist, will ask you to conquer the forts one by one and kill all the imperial enemies there to complete the game Skyrim. Head to Stormcloak and tell him that you have captured Whiterun. Your nickname is now "Ice Veins". Finally, Ulfric realized that by gaining more power, you would become even more useful. But be patient and rejoice, first you will be persistently asked to go to Falkreath and provide support to Galmar.

And he will give you the task of recapturing a fort called Neugrad. Proceed to meet the scouts who are located southwest of the indicated fort. Note: if suddenly the sign “Waiting for orders” or something like that does not appear near Galmar, you need to run around him or approach from the other side on foot.

Go to meet the scout. It turns out he has known Ralof for a long time. The scout will inform you that you will need to make your way through the caves at the bottom of the lake to the prison, which belongs to the fleet. And there, free all the prisoners and quickly move to the courtyard. You will receive help from scouts in the battle against the Imperials. The rest of your progress in Skyrim depends on your level: you can tell them that you don't have the stealth skill, but they will tell you that they believe in you and are ready to support you as soon as you find yourself in the courtyard. Head towards the lake, dive into the water and swim towards the passage. If you don't know how to sneak, just run into the yard and start a fight. Then the scouts will come running to you, and you will free the prisoners. And if you are good at stealth, go to the prison and release the prisoners (first kill the guard at the door and take the key to the cells from him). Then deal with all the enemies in the courtyard (four to five people). Now go to the fort and kill all the opponents in it (about ten people). Six of them fell asleep in one room, so half can be killed secretly, and the rest in open battle. After clearing the fort, talk to Ralof and listen to his words of gratitude. He will send you to report your victory to Ulfric. To complete the game Skyrim, go to him and receive a new task, which is to liberate the Reach.

War Booty

Ulfric Stormcloak will ask you to find information that can be used to blackmail the manager of Markarth, Rerik. Head to the Understone Fortress in Markarth and find a room there that belongs to Rerik. The door there is guarded by a guard. Wait until he moves away and quickly make your way into the room. You also have the opportunity to use a potion that will make you invisible. In the chest of drawers, take the Talos amulet that belongs to Rerik and head towards it. He will take you to his room and tell you information about a caravan loaded with weapons and silver, which can greatly influence the course of the war. Then report everything to Galmar and, together with the scouts, go to rob the specified convoy. On the way you will meet Ralof, who will inform you that his cart has broken down and his camp is located very close. Completing the game Skyrim again gives you a choice: continue the task yourself; Ralof and his men deal with the guards, and then you all plunder the camp together and kill all the enemies.

In any case, destroy the Imperials, and then head to the Reach camp to Galmar.

Battle of Sungard

Now you have to recapture Fort Sungard on the orders of the Stone Fist. Walkthrough of the game Skyrim gives you a simple task - head to the fort and recapture it. Kill about 30 Imperials. The rest of the Stormcloaks will help you.

Note: the game may run very slowly on not very powerful computers. You can even see a slideshow instead of a game. After completing the task, go back to Ulfric.

Disinformation

Galmar will ask you to falsify documents belonging to the Imperials. However, first, find their original. Go to the tavern called "Dragon Bridge" and talk to its owner. Ask her about the messengers of the empire and get the information you need. To do this, use bribery, fear or persuasion.

Having received the necessary information, move to the point marked on the map. You will find the messenger near a broken cart on the path south of the tavern. Kill him and take the papers. Give them to Galmar and immediately take the forged copy. He will ask you to transfer the fake to a Legate named Taurin Dulius in Morthal.

The Stormcloaks of Skyrim are a group of rebellious oppositionists who oppose the Empire's imperial control of the northern province. In their ranks are the most courageous and fearless Nords, who obey the main leader named Ulfric Stormcloak. The group controls most of the eastern territories and holds a seat in Windhelm.

Neither side of the conflict is objectively right, so the player himself decides who to choose - the Stormcloaks or the Empire. “Skyrim” offers you to go through two completely different chains of story quests (depending on who Dovahkiin joins), the outcome of which will determine the further fate of the northern province.

How to join the Stormcloaks

This task is a mirror image of the introductory quest to the Imperial Legion, but this time the hero must talk to one of the rebels.

If at the beginning of Skyrim, in Helgen, the player chooses Ralof's company and leaves the caves with him, then the first entry about the quest will appear in his journal. Otherwise, you will have to look for the rebels yourself.

After this, you can move towards Windhelm, where Ulfric Stormcloak himself sits. Let's pay attention to his armor: unfortunately, we won't be able to get the same ones, but later we will have the opportunity to get the officer's armor of the Stormcloaks of Skyrim. We speak with Ulfric, and then go to the next room, where we will be introduced to our faithful ally, Galmar.

Admission into the ranks

Galmar will load Dovahkiin with the first task, the completion of which should show one simple thing - whether the hero is worthy of joining the Storm Brothers. We go to the island, which is located not far from Windhelm, to kill a couple of ice ghosts.

As soon as the task is completed, we return to the city and find Galmar. We take an oath of allegiance and become one of the Stormcloaks of Skyrim. Armor and other distinctive features of this faction will become available only after completing certain quests.

Serrated crown

Next we will be asked to find the Jagged Crown - an amazing artifact with which Ulfric will be able to secure his position. Open the map and follow the indicated mark. Arriving at the place, we find a detachment of imperials who are also hunting for the crown.

Galmar meets us inside the ruins, so it will be easier to fight the legionnaires. In the third hall we will be asked to go around the top and check the level for safety. We go right and go towards the next hall. A bunch of opponents are waiting for us there, with whom we can quickly deal - we use an oil puddle and a bowl of fire for this. Soon the rest of the Brothers will join us, and together with them we will reach the Hall of Stories. We select the claw key and open the locked door with it (wolf symbol, insect symbol, dragon symbol).

We follow further, go upstairs and find a lever behind the bridge - it opens the next door. We fight off the draugr and finally reach the Jagged Crown. It rests on the head of a rather strong enemy, so you’ll have to deal with him too. At the end of the quest, we will have the opportunity to switch sides and take the crown to the imperials, that is, we will continue to participate in the war, but against the rebels. By the way, getting the Brothers’ armor in this situation will be much easier, since it can be removed from killed opponents. Another way is special mods for the Stormcloaks of Skyrim.

You can give the crown to Ulfric - then you will go over to his side. This is the last opportunity to change faction.

Having dealt with one task, we get a new one. This time we must go to Whiterun to present a special ax to the jarl of the city. If the jarl accepts it, then this gesture will mean unification with the Stormcloaks of Skyrim, if he does not accept it, there will be war.

We deliver the ax to its destination and appear before Balgruuf and his advisers. After a short meeting, the jarl will refuse the ax, so we will only have to return with this news back to Ulfric.

Battle for Whiterun

After the quest appears in our journal, we go to Whiterun. There, in the outskirts, we will find Galmar and a whole army of Nords. The attack itself will begin after a short but exciting speech by Advisor Ulfric.

We run along with the army of the Storm Brothers towards the city walls, break through the barricades and get to the lever that will lower the main bridge. We penetrate the city and begin to fight with the legionnaires. The main task of the quest is to reach the Dragon's Reach (palace) and kill, so you will have to fight off numerous defenders. By the way, during the battle for Whiterun the hero will not be able to interact with local residents and go inside houses, shops and taverns.

In Dragon's Reach, in addition to the jarl, we will encounter his adviser and the usual garrison, who will try to fight back. You don’t have to kill them all - we just hit the jarl until he stops the battle.

Congratulations, we managed to conquer Whiterun and earn more recognition from Ulfric Stormcloak. As a reward, the hero receives a promotion, a unique gun and, of course, a new task.

Liberation of Skyrim: Capture of Falkreath

The liberation of the northern province is a special operation, during which the Stormcloaks capture several forts. By the way, it is at this point in the plot that the player can reach the mission “Endless Time” and try on two conflicting sides.

The first region that we will conquer after Whiterun is Falkreath. We go to the rebel camp indicated on the map and meet Galmar there. He will tell us that the legionnaires captured a group of Storm Brothers, and then placed them in Fort Neugrad. We will organize a rescue operation together with our old friend Ralof, who will offer us two attack options: a direct attack head-on or unnoticed penetration inside the fortress.

In any case, the further battle will take place side by side with the freed hostages. We deal with the opponents in the central building of the fort, talk with Ralof and return to Windhelm, where a well-deserved reward awaits us.

Skyrim Walkthrough: Capture the Reach

The next task can only be completed through blackmail and theft. We must obtain evidence that Rerik worships the god Talos, which is prohibited in modern Skyrim.

We make our way into the palace and go towards the personal quarters of the jarl's assistant (they are located on the right side of the throne). One of the chests contains the Talos amulet - grab it and go to the central hall to talk with Rerik. The jarl will be very scared and agree to cooperate, telling about the imperial caravan. A little later we will go to capture it together with Galmar and Ralof.

We receive a new decree from Ulfric - we need to take control of the Sangard fortress. During the capture process, we will be forced to suppress the imperial soldiers until the percentage of their strength drops to zero.

Disinformer

After the documents have been corrected, we go to Morthal and deliver the message under the guise of a messenger.

Battle for Solitude

After several successful captures of fortresses, we will receive an order to capture Solitude. We go to the gathering place and listen to Ulfric's parting speech. The road to the point will be teeming with imperials, so we boldly run forward and deal with everyone who is fighting on the side of the opponents. The main thing is to get into the courtyard, since the path up ends in a dead end. The final confrontation awaits us in the castle. After a small battle, we have a choice: kill the general ourselves or give the honor to Ulfric.

By the way, if we played for the side of the Imperials, then after killing Ulfric (mirrored quest), Dovahkiin could get the very heavy armor of the Stormcloaks of Skyrim. At the end of the Battle of Solitude, we are rewarded with a sword of vampire suction.
