Dragon Age Origin Liliana approval. Through the fire of war. Quest - Leliana's Past

  1. Dragon Age: Origins. Satellites.

    Satellites:

To improve relationships with characters, you need to talk to them. The best place is in the camp, in the parking lot.
Companions inspired as a result of good attitude receive bonuses to their characteristics. True, it’s better to save yourself before talking - if you choose the wrong tone, you can lose your hard-won favor.
    First to join the group
    Alistair
The prospect of Alistair joining the ranks of the templars inspired little both the Church - he had already annoyed everyone with his inappropriate sense of humor - and himself, who was already ready to climb the wall from the silence and good looks. Therefore, when Duncan used the Right of Summoning and took Alistair into the Gray Wardens, the latter’s gratitude knew no bounds.

Human, warrior, specialization - "Templar". There are few magicians in the game, so it’s better not to upgrade your templar skills. If developed correctly, it makes an excellent tank. Upgrade your strength to put on armor; dexterity; shield skills and warrior skills.
One of the key characters, a lot of dialogue.
Where to join: At the very beginning of the game, in Ostagar.
Personal quest: visiting his sister Goldanna in Denerim. To receive the quest, it is enough to talk to him from time to time, but he is most likely to give it after the events in Redcliffe.
While completing a personal quest, you can change Alistair's character, making him tougher and more decisive. To do this, after communicating with Goldanna, you must choose the answer option “Every man for himself” and later, during the conversation in the camp, do not give up your words. If, after a conversation with your sister, you prefer to wipe his snot and console him, this will have the most detrimental effect on the fate of this character in the finale.
Romantic relationship: Only with a female character. Gives a rose when he starts to fall in love. Hint: it is recommended to tighten it up during a personal quest (after communicating with your sister, do not console, but stick to the line “such is life”, “what did you want”, etc.).
Present: rune stones and figurines of magical creatures.
    Special gifts:
"Alistair's Mother's Amulet" (Redcliffe Castle, Earl Eamon's office).
"Duncan's Shield" (available before the Assembly of the Lands; you need to free the Gray Guardian Riordian from Howe prison, then in Eamon's mansion talk to him about the Guardians' warehouse. The warehouse is located in the Trade Quarter, Riordan will give the key to the hiding place, which appears there after this conversation).
A crisis: May die or leave the party during the Landsmeet.
The second character to join the party will be
    Morrigan.
Like Alistair, she is a plot character who cannot be gotten rid of until the end of the game - she is somehow involved in the final events.

Morrigan is a human werewolf mage. Also a specialist herbalist (making potions is a useful skill). Of werewolfism, perhaps, only the last form - Swarm - may prove useful. It's best to give her cold spells. "Cone of Ice" affects all bosses including the Archdemon, making your life much easier.
By character she is an exceptional bitch, and even completely asocial due to the peculiarities of her upbringing. She reacts negatively to almost any good deed, but the abundance of gifts for Morrigan in the game easily solves this problem.
Where to join: After the Battle of Ostagar.
Personal quest: during the passage of the Tower of Magicians you will find the “Black Grimoire” in Irving’s office. This is a personal gift for Morrigan. After that, in a conversation she will give her personal task.
Romantic relationship: Only with a male character. If interest arises, she will call you to the tent. But keep in mind that as soon as the relationship reaches the “love” mark, she will refuse to share the bed with the hero. At the end of the game it will become clear why. Starting to fall in love with the hero, he gives him a ring.
In the end she leaves, no matter how you look at it.
Present: jewelry (for example, a chain of gold threads, you can buy from the gnome in the camp).
    Special gifts:
    - "Black Grimoire"
    - "Grimoire of Flemeth"
    - “Golden Mirror” (Orzammar, from the merchant Givin)
A crisis: will leave the party before the final battle if she refuses the offer she makes after the Landsmeet.

    Dog

Where to join: a nobleman only needs to pick up his dog from the kitchen, but the rest will need to do a simple quest in Ostagar, taken from the dogkeeper.
Present: various bones. The dog, as expected, has 100% love for its owner, with or without bones, so they can be given to the most grouchy of companions. Morrigan, for example.
The dog knows how to find things - you need to talk to him and ask if he sees something interesting. He might bring some rubbish for which no use can be found, or a gift. Ogren will gladly consume a bottle of wine, you can give the slobbery pie and tattered trousers to any companion of your choice, Wynn uses a skein of woolen thread to knit something warm to the Wall (if you give it after their dialogue about the Fereldan frosts). Also in certain places there is a chance that the dog will bring a unique item - for example, boots from Ancient Elven armor. This is the only chance to get this part of the set (the helmet can be exchanged with the hermit in the Breselon Forest, the rest can be found in the Ruins).
It should also be noted that the dog’s fighting qualities in a given area increase if he marks a “landmark” (a log, a tent, a tree - wherever he likes it).
At the beginning of the game, the dog is a real “cheat”, as he easily drowns out everything around with his howl.

    Lillian.

Robber man. A bard, he specializes in the bow and little things like opening locks and carrying purses, which requires a developed Cunning. Not bad for a novice of the Church, isn't it?

She's the hardest one. It’s enough to say something wrong somewhere at the very beginning or not talk about the right topic, and that’s it - she’s silent until the end of the game like a partisan, doesn’t make any friendships, doesn’t give personal quests and freezes out in every possible way.
Where to join: In Lothering, at the Dane's Refuge tavern, she will intervene in a skirmish with Loghain's soldiers and offer her help in the fight against the Blight.
Personal task: To start the quest you need to ask Leliana about the reasons for her coming to the church, about the minstrels and have at least +25 approval. Then she will talk about Marjoline, and later, when moving between locations with Liliana in the group, the squad will be attacked by robbers, whom Liliana recognizes as having come after her soul. Interrogate the robbers, deal with Marjoline one way or another, and get an excellent bow (which only Liliana can use). During the quest, Liliana can be slightly sobered up on the subject of the Church and all sorts of religious nonsense, explaining to her that being a bard is not bad at all, you need to be yourself and not be ashamed of it, and you don’t have to turn into Marjoline. Then she admits that she was still bored in church, that she wants to live life to the fullest, and get rid of religious fanaticism.
Romantic relationship: Liliana’s orientation is unconventional. Her previous love is a woman. If you get to know her well, you will find out that she does not have the best memories with men. But with due patience and desire, a gg-man can win her heart. Talk about what someone like her did in church (the right move is to compliment her appearance). If you have the patience to communicate about shoes, hairstyles, etc., then in the future she will conduct quite interesting dialogues, tell legends and even sing (many people really like Liliana’s song, which she performs after the quest with the Dalish elves).
Liliana initiates the conversation leading to an affair with a gg-woman herself. Says something about how glad it is to see you, etc. If you ask her whether she often enjoys female company so much, she states: “And if I say that it happens sometimes? What will you answer?” Those wishing to have a romance here should promise to giggle.
After completing a personal quest, you can resume your relationship, even if you already had an affair with Liliana that ended in a breakup.
If she has an affair with the hero, then she will stay with him until the end - “both in life and in death” (c) But if the hero (heroine) gets married, even for political reasons, she leaves.
Present: Symbols of Andraste, as well as jewelry. Blue shoes and the Silver Sword of Mercy (sold from the gnome, which is randomly found when moving between locations).
    Special gifts:
Grace of Andraste (flowers grow in Redcliffe at the mill, in the Bressilian Forest and in Elfinage)
Tame Naga (In Orzamar with Liliana in the party, take the quest to capture the nagas from the driver, then hire the Idle Dwarf in the Dusty City to find a wild naga - clean and well-fed). If there is no love or friendship with Liliana, she will not ask for a nag.
A crisis: Can turn against the main character if he desecrates the remains of the Ashes of Andraste's Sacred Urn with the blood of a dragon. If you “sober up” her during a personal quest, she will remain with the hero even after such sacrilege.

    Stan
Qunari warrior. Specializes in two-handed weapons, location bonus is strength. Don’t forget to pump up his dexterity; if you push everything hard, he will “smear.”

You shouldn't take him to clear the Wizards' Tower. In the final battle, mages are much more useful than templars. And they may come in handy in a number of quests later. Therefore, I would not advise destroying magicians, but Sten - as a Qunari who deeply and sincerely hates magicians - will go out of his way to ensure that they are all killed. And he will strongly disapprove of the desire to preserve the Circle of Magicians.

Players have quite contradictory opinions about him. Personally, it was easiest for me with him - you can say what you think, and not pretend what he would like to hear. Stan strongly approves, is constantly inspired, and after the quest for the Urn of Sacred Ashes expresses his admiration. But many did not find contact with him, and after the quest for the Urn, there were generally attempts to seize control of the party by Sten. I don’t know how people built a dialogue.
Where to join: Sten sits in a cage in Lothering. You can open the door with a master key, or you can go to church with Liliana, she will vouch for you and the priestess will give you the key to the cage.
Personal task: With good approval, you need to talk with him about his past (if he was collecting information for the Qunari, then why didn’t he return with a report? Option two is to start talking about the sword through a discussion of the reasons why he killed the peasants). The place where Stan lost his sword is at the entrance to the Lake Calenhad loka. Interrogate the marauder, go to the Frosty Mountains and get the name of the buyer of the sword (Dwin of Redcliffe). If you conduct an interrogation in the Frosty Mountains without Sten, you can extract money from the marauder for the sword. Then we take the sword from Dvin (if Sten is in the party, the dwarf will not dare to mention compensation for losses; if Sten is not there, you will have to give the impudent person a decent amount).
    Present: paintings.
Romantic relationships are impossible. But with due respect, Sten will eventually invite the Qunari to travel with him to the lands.

    Wynn
Human, Circle Magician. Specialization: Spiritual Healer. She is, first of all, a healer and a buffer (buffs in this game are often underestimated, but a couple of robbers under her acceleration and, of course, a set of poisons suitable for the occasion are death to all living things). Can heal a group and resurrect during battle.

Winn takes care of everyone, gives advice in connection with the novels of the group members, knits warm clothes for Stan from the wool brought by the dog, talks with Alistair about where children come from... In general, the image is solid and consistent, in which I do not understand only one detail : Why is Wynn so happy if the main character seduces an elf in the Dalish camp? She approves of this by +7, which is a lot. It seems like you shouldn’t hate elves, in the Circle of Magicians everything is very liberal with this - what difference does it make whether you’re a human or an elf, if you’re still a magician...
Perhaps this is due to the elven face of Zevran, who so actively reduced all her soul-saving conversations to attempts to cry on her chest, which nevertheless awakened base instincts in her.
Where to join: During the quest to cleanse the Circle Tower, Wynn will offer her help, and after the quest you can take her with you to fight the Pestilence.
Personal task: To start the quest, talk to Wynn about her past and have approval greater than +25. There are generally a lot of dialogues with her, but the personal quest begins with a conversation about her past and the question of whether Wynn regrets anything. She will tell you about the lost student; you can ask about him in the Dalish camp. He will appear in the cleared location of the Bressilian Forest, in the place where the hermit’s stump stands. Talk, get an amulet, experience and gratitude from Wynn.
Present: books and scrolls. In Lothering, a merchant (who can be supported or, with developed Persuasion, reasoned with) has a bottle of special wine for sale for Wynn. All other alcoholic drinks in the game are for Ogren.
A crisis: if you decide to destroy all the magicians during the quest in the Tower of Magicians, she will naturally come to their defense. She also rebels when the remains of the Ashes of Andraste's Sacred Urn are desecrated by the blood of a dragon. Well, someone else somehow managed to quarrel with her, becoming a blood mage; I can’t say anything here - I played as a blood mage, used these spells with her and nothing.

  2. Zevran

Elf, killer. Expert in poisoning. Improve agility and a little strength. Assassin skills, skills for fighting with weapons in both hands. Don’t forget to put it behind the enemy’s back, and poison is everything to us. When used correctly, it surpasses even magicians in DPS; works great in tandem with Morrigan - she freezes, he instantly splits due to frequent crits. Disapproves of atrocities against elves and breaking oaths (when you talk to Zathrian at the exit from the ruins, promise him protection only if he does not attack first; if you promise it without any conditions, and then start “persuading” him to lift the curse, Zevran will strongly disapprove).

Constantly harasses all female characters, including Winn. He even managed to get under the skin of Morrigan, but he immediately ruined everything by starting to shake out the money in dispute from Alistair. Children should not hear his advice to lovers in the event of an affair between any party members, as well as some discussions on the topic of morality.
Where to join: After completing the first story quest (an emissary of gnomes, elves, magicians or Redcliffe appears in the Camp), your actions attract the attention of those in power, and when moving between locations, a video appears - Loghain hires a representative of the Assassins Guild - Anti-Warriors. That's it, the next time you travel between locations, you can expect a surprise in the form of an ambush with traps, archers and Zevran. Having interrupted those greeting you, you can either immediately sentence the elf or take him into your service.
Personal task: At the end of the game, after receiving the quest to save Queen Anora, when moving between locations, the group will encounter a fairly strong group of Ravens. You will have to fight with them (necessarily with Zevran in the party). If the relationship with him is bad, then he will betray and support the Ravens. How some managed to achieve this is difficult to say, since without any romances, just chatting about his adventures and special gifts, Zevran raises the relationship to a warm one and does not demonstrate any inclinations towards betrayal. After the fight with the Crows, he says that now he could leave, but he clearly has no desire to do so. In the camp he will thank him for being freed from the Ravens. If there is an affair, his attitude will turn from “attachment” to “love”, then he will give an earring. If there is no romance, an opportunity to start one will appear in the dialogue.
By the way, according to eyewitnesses, if you refuse to take the earring “since it doesn’t mean anything,” then Zevran will get angry and change his mind about giving it. But later he will give it again, this time with a declaration of love.
Romantic relationship: Contrary to popular belief, Zevran prefers women - a romance with the male protagonist cannot be started without advances from the Mr. himself, while with the female gender he takes the initiative. But since, when he was a killer, Zevran approached his high-ranking male victims mainly through bed, an affair with a man does not bother him much.
After a personal quest, he rethinks his approach to life, no longer pesters women and generally changes a lot.
An interesting outcome if Zevran has an affair with the hero, and he dies. Then the elf goes to the Crows, kills everyone there, heads the organization and is sad for the rest of his life, never starting new romances.
If the heroine becomes a queen (or the hero becomes a king) (available for a noble person, regardless of gender), he still remains with the lords.
    Present: Bars of precious metals.
    Special gifts:
    - "Dalish deerskin gloves" (Bressilian forest, fake camp trap)
    - "Antivan leather boots" (Vault, in chest)
A crisis: Zevran may be lost if:
    - killed in the first meeting;
    - approval will drop to crisis levels. In this case, it will be possible to persuade him to stay, challenge him to a fight and kill him or let him go.
    - with low approval, will turn against the main character during the battle with the Crows.

    Oghren
Dwarf, warrior, berserker, two-handed weapon. Rock - like the Wall. But his bonus is not to strength, but to physique.
Many people carry Ogren with them just to listen to his dialogues. They are simply the most awesome.
Fortunately, there are places where the characters start chatting without fail - the bridge in front of the Arena in Orzammar, the pine trees at the entrance to the Dalish camp, etc.

Where to join: In Orzamar, when you meet at the exit to the Deep Paths (when you go to look for the Perfect One).
Personal task: To start the quest, you need to talk about a woman named Felsi (you should look for her in the tavern on Lake Calenhad Pier). Chat with Felsi, then come there with Ogren. You can help him improve his relationship with her by giving him hints during the conversation.
    Present: All kinds of booze
A crisis: The result was a massive drop in approval. You can persuade him to stay or start a fight with him, at the end of which you can kill him, force him to stay, or drive him away.

    Sheila (additional content)

Where to join: After completing the downloadable quest Stone Prisoner.
Personal task: You need to talk to Sheila about Caridin after completing the quest in Orzamar. Then go with her to the Deep Paths. A new lock will open, clear it, then talk to Sheila.
    Present: gems
A crisis: The golem will leave the party if approval reaches crisis levels or if the character decides to keep the “Anvil of the Void” (regardless of whether the golem is in the party or remains in the camp at the time of choice for the quest).

    Loghain
    Man, Warrior, Knight.
I left him alive to listen to Zevran report to his employer about his “successes.” Then it booted up and crashed - because it doesn’t matter.

Where to join: Defeat him after the "Gathering of the Lands", but not kill him, but force him to become a Gray Warden. Alistair will not stand such outrage against the order - he will leave. If you don't toughen it up, he'll drink himself to death. If you make it tougher, he will marry Anora, but he will withdraw himself from the board and leave the party so as not to be near the traitor.
    Present: maps and historical documents.

  4. I had a dog named Dog
  5. By the way, I’ll note the imbalance among the companions: well, there are a lot of warriors, and at the same time there are only two magicians.
There is approximately the same imbalance in weapons with armor - in the game you can find a lot of sets of heavy armor (for example, the sets of the captain of the gray guards, the juggernaut, I also had collector blood armor). While there is only one full-fledged set of light armor (draconian) - and that’s crap. There will be DLC with Kaylan's armor coming soon. And I have a suspicion that this is also heavy armor))
  6. They probably thought that magicians were already too strong :) they also have all sorts of combinations of spells, while warriors have nothing like that, plus an incredible amount of all sorts of mass control.
and Kailan Oga's armor is massive)
  7. But I was disappointed by the appearance of the leather armor. When you play as a noble person, at the very beginning they give you some kind of leather armor, which in appearance (see screenshots of the horn from the next topic) is better than all that same type of armor that you have to carry around the whole game.

This is so that they don’t kick Morrie out, with her character.

Mages don't need armor. But a good robe is found in the quest with Hasindian signs at the very beginning, Morrigan is dressed initially, and after the personal quest she receives an excellent mantle.
Cool staves are sold from merchants. For example, Winterlord in Denerim - what else could a magician need?
Plus, the developers clearly wanted Winn and Morrie to wear what they had drawn for them. I couldn’t find better rags than Morrie’s own ones, but I dressed Wynn in the robe of a Hasindian archmage and got a femme fatale in a miniskirt. Somehow her conversations about knitting sweaters looked ridiculous after that)))
Lots of gloves for a magician. The damage drops, and you also knock out your clothes. In general, when playing as a mage, there are no difficulties with equipment. On the contrary, he knocked it out and put it on, not like with the soldiers - every now and then it turns out that he got the set, but he doesn’t have enough strength to put it on.

  9. The leather armor is normal and according to the stats, it’s not, let alone beautiful. The only good body in Denerim is for sale (which gives + 6 to agility). And I also have leather gloves with a critical chance. I didn’t find any normal boots, just one UG. If there are two horns in a party, then there is nothing to wear them >.<

Well, this is the taste and color actually. Not all SW:KOTOR passed as a light Jedi))
For me, Morrigan burns. And fuck her whining - gifts solve any problems. I received her disapproval many times, but still, with the help of gifts and personal quests, I easily achieved 99 approval.
Regarding the armor, I rather meant more about the horns; it was really stressful with the gear for them. And for magicians, yes, everything is fine. Just one staff in the Tower with +2 mana regen is worth it.

ZY By the way, you can also make a warrior mage by upgrading to the Arcane Warrior specialization. Then you can even put on heavy armor (strength begins to be equated with magic among mages). This is a perversion, of course, although they say a support mage with heavy armor and a sword is not bad.

Two leather sets are made by a blacksmith in Denerim from dragon scales. For protection from fire and a bonus to agility - what more do you need? His third set can also be taken light, but I ordered heavy armor - it turned out to be the best armor against dragons in the game. It was possible to take a light one.
The main thing is not to squeeze money when you place an order, and ask them to do their best.
His first product is for an archer (Liliana), the second is for Zevran (melee), the third - depending on the circumstances.
They look so-so, I agree. Ancient elven armor is aesthetically very beautiful - collect and wear, but the blacksmith's products surpass it in characteristics.

In my opinion, she gives the most interesting lines precisely when the player’s actions go against her opinion on the situation. And in general it needs to be built more often and shown who’s boss)

Do you have a screenshot of the set?

  12. I didn't like the combat mage specialization; Wynn taught this, but still a useless thing. Two mages in a party with mass control and mass spells are our everything. Moreover, the blood mage casts a spell over a large area, but only hits strangers - it’s just a cheat. And what about armor - why is it needed? There are plenty of tanks, choose according to your taste. This is not AION, the monsters regularly attack the tank.

Lillian- one of the characters accompanying you on your journey. A bard from Orlesian who has taken to the church in Lothering and spends all his free time praying, asking for forgiveness for the sins of his “past life.” Joins the Gray Warden at your request and can be a romantic interest for both male and female characters.

A whole separate addition, “Liliana’s Song,” is dedicated to Leliana, which sheds light on her not entirely cloudless past.

Character background

Her homeland is Orlais, although her mother came there from Ferelden and she considers herself more of a Fereldan. She lived at the court of a noblewoman as a child after the death of her mother.

Later, having become a Badr and falling into a dysfunctional company, she is accused of espionage and, beaten, ends up in prison, from where she flees to Lothering and hides there, becoming a novice of the church.

The character has many names that her companions give her. She is famous for her boundless love for her creator, as well as her unconditional gratitude and submission to the High Priestess Justinia, who saved her.

In the plot

Liliana herself, having joined the Guardian, says that she is guided by a vision sent by the Creator himself. If you refuse a girl once, she will wait for you when leaving the settlement and ask if you would like to accept her into the group again. If for the first time some of your fellow party members have doubts, then they themselves will offer to accept the girl. If you refuse, the character disappears from the game and we will not see him again in this part.

In addition to participating in the plot as well as additions, if you have a sufficient level of character trust, you will be able to receive from her an additional quest in which you will have to remove the killers who were sent after Liliana and learn a little more about her companion.

To gain her trust, you will need to chat with the character as much as possible, do not express criticism during speeches about the Creators, do good things and give gifts that will be the most meaningful. In order not to spoil the relationship, it is better not to take Liliana into the group when you know for sure that you will do bad things.

And here are a few more features:

- sometimes it happens that even with 100% approval, the novel does not start - this is a mysterious bug in the game;
- if you missed the chance for a romance, then a second attempt is given after a personal quest related to Marjolein;
- you can marry Arnon and at the same time not lose Liliana as a lover - to do this, do not talk to her until the epilogue with the coronation, and before the coronation itself, after the conversation, she will remain with the Guardian.
- if you take a character with you on a mission, there is a chance that she will attack you and will not proceed further.

Dragon Age Characters: Leliana

Where she joins: in Lothering at the Dane's Refuge tavern, she will intervene in a skirmish with Loghain's soldiers and offer her help in the fight against the Blight.
ATTENTION! As the storyline progresses, Lothering will be destroyed and it will no longer be possible to return there! Take Liliana right away or you won’t get this opportunity again.

Personal quest: To start the quest, you need to ask Leliana about the reasons for her coming to the church, about minstrels, and have at least +25 approval. Then she will talk about Marjoline, and later, when moving between locations with Liliana in the group, the squad will be attacked by robbers, whom Liliana recognizes as having come after her soul.

Romantic relationships: Liliana’s orientation is unconventional. Her previous love is a woman. If you get to know her well, you will find out that she does not have the best memories with men. But with due patience and desire, a gg-man can win her heart. Talk about what someone like her did in church (the right move is to compliment her appearance). If you have the patience to communicate about shoes, hairstyles, etc., then in the future she will conduct quite interesting dialogues, tell legends and even sing (many people really like Lilian’s song, which she performs after the quest with the Dalish elves).

Gifts: Symbols of Andraste, as well as jewelry.
Crisis: can turn against the main character if he desecrates the remains of the Ashes of Andraste's Sacred Urn with the blood of a dragon. If you “sober up” her during a personal quest, she will remain with the hero even after such sacrilege.

We take it with us as a lock opener and a long-range fighter. Also, the traps she has learned will diversify the battles, and the songs she sings will lift the mood and morale.

Dragon Age is one of the most famous series of computer role-playing games, which is remembered by many gamers for its variety in everything: from monsters and quests to the main characters with whom you can directly interact and even use their help in your adventures. Each hero in these games has his own character, his own characteristics, and you can even “have an affair” with many of them. After all, Dragon Age became one of the first role-playing games that most successfully presented the model of personal relationships in this genre. Liliana is one of the most colorful supporting characters available in the Dragon Age universe. She is found in each part of the game in different roles, and in one of the add-ons she is even given the main role. Therefore, you should definitely get to know this heroine more closely. After all, each character can tell a lot about the Dragon Age universe. Liliana is one of those heroes who are most remembered, and deservedly so, since they have an extremely rich biography that can be traced throughout the entire series of games.

Background

So, what is the heroine Liliana like? Dragon Age is a game in which each character has their own special character traits, that is, here the heroes are not “cardboard”, they are really alive, with their own advantages and disadvantages. Liliana was born in Orlais, her mother was a servant of Lady Cecile, who was one of the most noble representatives of the ancient family. When Orlais was captured by the Fereldans, Lady Cecile managed to escape, but was able to take her faithful maid and her daughter with her. Soon, Liliana's mother died, and Lady Cecile took her under her wing, teaching her to be a proper lady. Thanks to her new position, Liliana met Marjoline, who, after the death of Lady Cecile, took the girl to work, teaching her the art of the bard. As a result, Liliana became one of the most famous bards in the area, and no one doubted her talents. It is in this form that the heroine appears in the games of the series. In what games and in what roles can you find a character like Liliana? Dragon Age is a series of role-playing projects containing a large number of parts, and in each of them there was a place for this character.

"Song of Liliana"

Naturally, the description of this character should begin with the addition in which she is the main character. What exactly is Liliana doing there? Dragon Age is a game where the storylines are sometimes more exciting than the most popular blockbusters, so you definitely won't be bored in Liliana's Song. The events of the add-on begin just from the moment when the girl achieves perfection in the process of working for Marjoline. Being a recognized bard, she also plays the role of a rogue - these two classes are closely intertwined in the game. She carries out various assignments from her boss, reporting on their results and receiving rewards. But the main events of the addition begin when Liliana, along with two other bards and Marjoline herself, faces a very serious task - infiltrating Raleigh’s mansion and stealing important documents.

The mission is successful until Liliana decides to look at what is written in these documents. It turns out that this information is extremely secret and can cause serious harm to the army of Orlais, and the bards themselves can get into huge troubles. At the shelter, Liliana comes into conflict with her boss and manages to convince her to return the documents. But when this happens, the bards are noticed and the alarm is raised. They try to escape, but Marjolaine suddenly betrays them, teaming up with Raleigh. Liliana and her partners find themselves in a dungeon, from which she is rescued by a secret patron. After escaping, Liliana goes to Lothering, where she learns that her patron is the Reverend Mother Dorothea, who gives her the task of returning Raleigh's documents. The girl and her companions go in pursuit and enter into battle with her mentor, defeating her, but not killing her. When she returns the documents to Dorothea, she invites her to join the Church - this is how Liliana found her faith. Dragon Age will change many characters throughout the gameplay, but the transformation of this heroine is the most striking and memorable.

Dragon Age: Origins

As you already understood, this article describes events in chronological order, and not in the order of release of computer games, so now we will talk about the part of Dragon Age: Origins. It’s worth noting right away that there are mods in the Dragon Age game that allow you to transform Liliana’s appearance, but I would like to admit that there is no point in doing this, because the appearance of this heroine is very memorable and does not require improvements. As for this part of the game, it is here that the main character’s first meeting with the priestess, and in the past with the bard, takes place. She helps him in the battle with the traitor's soldiers, and then says that she wants to join, since she had a vision from the Creator. If you agree, she becomes part of your party and you can take her with you to help you on quests and adventures. In Dragon Age, mods can add variety to the appearance of characters, so if you plan to use this heroine, you can choose new skins for her.

Return to the past

In the Dragon Age game, the passage does not depend on which companions you choose, your choice only affects the variety of fighters in your group, as well as your personal relationships in the game universe. But each of the heroes has their own personal quests, which you can only receive if you question them in detail on any topic. For example, if you talk a lot with Liliana about her past as a bard, then after a while you will be attacked by robbers sent by Marjoline to kill the girl. The Priestess asks the protagonist to help her with her past, and you can find Marjolaine, defeat her, and then choose whether to kill her or not. The character of the heroine in the further passage of Dragon Age largely depends on this. How to toughen up Liliana? Tell her to kill Marjolaine, and from now on the girl will be much more serious and pragmatic. But you can pardon her - and then Liliana will remain the same, and Marjoline will leave her alone. At least for a while.

Conflict with Liliana

In Dragon Age, Liliana's quest described above is not the only one. When you gain access to Andraste's Ashes in the story, Liliana may attack you, as she believes that your actions could desecrate the ashes of one of the holiest people. If you have not done anything before, then you will have to kill the girl, which will be quite easy to do, since faith is Liliana’s only armor. Dragon Age, however, always gives you a choice. How to avoid the death of a priestess? You can either raise your relationship with her to the maximum by the time this quest is completed, or force her to kill Marjolaine, then she will turn to faith much less, and there will be no problems with Andraste's ashes.

Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening

In this part of the Dragon Age series, the walkthrough will not include contacts with Liliana. The only exception will look like a letter addressed to the main character from the priestess, but it will only come if you had an affair with her in the previous part. In the letter, Liliana will wish you good luck in the fight against evil, and after completing the game, a rumor will appear that the main character was seen with the love of his life - and it was Liliana.

Dragon Age II

In the second part of the series, Liliana rises in rank in the Church, now she is the Left Hand of the High Priestess, and in this position she is sent to Kirkwall, where the main events of the episode take place. There she will meet the main character several times, but these will only be “episodic roles”; you will not be able to take her into the group.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

As for the last part of the game, which was published quite recently, here Liliana plays one of the most important roles. After the death of the High Priestess and the opening of a gap in the Shadow, the Left Hand decides to revive the Inquisition to fight the creatures of darkness and close the portal to the other world. She will be one of the main personalities of the Inquisition, and most importantly, she will appear in the game even if you cannot save her from death in Dragon Age: Origins.

Leliana

Leliana- An Orlesian bard who accompanies the Gray Warden during Dragon Age: Origins. She came to the village of Lothering, seeking refuge at the local church, where she subsequently spent all her time meditating and offering prayers to the Creator, asking Him for forgiveness for her past sins. She is a possible companion and romantic interest for heroes of both genders. She can also teach bard specialization. In the DLC "Leliana's Song" she is the main protagonist, the DLC reveals many details of her past.

Background

Leliana was born in Orlais, but her mother is from Ferelden, and therefore she considers herself Fereldan. After her mother's death, she grew up under the care of Lady Cecil, an Orlesian noblewoman. Leliana's mother served Lady Cecile during the Orlesian occupation and followed her to Orlais after the liberation of Ferelden. While living in Orlais, Leliana learned a lot about the royal techniques and culture of Orlais. After some time, she became a bard, working for Marjoline. Leliana fell in love with her; however, Marjoline, taking advantage of the girl's feelings and devotion, falsely accused Leliana of espionage, for which she herself was to blame. Seduced, captured and beaten, Leliana was thrown into prison, but soon escaped. Discovering Marjolaine's betrayal, she flees Orlais, where everyone considers her a traitor. Once in Ferelden, Leliana reached Lothering and became a novice of the church.

Dragon Age: Origins

Leliana believes that she was sent a vision by her Creator, forcing her to accompany the Guardian in an attempt to stop the Blight from approaching. During the quest, Leliana can be "toughened up" by choosing the right lines. If you do this, she will be calmer about the evil actions of the Guardian, change her attitude towards Morrigan, and possible alternative endings will open up for her.

Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening

Leliana does not appear in Dragon Age – Awakening and is only mentioned once. If she was in love with the Guardian at the end of Dragon Age: Origins, then there may be a mention of her in the epilogue: "Some say that the commander was reunited with the red-haired bard known as Leliana, and they traveled together. The pair were seen together in Denerim a year after the end of the Blight. It is unknown whether this is true, but the commander never returned to the Vigil Tower."

There is also a love letter from her to the Guardian in the game.

Leliana survives the events of Dragon Age: Origins, even though she was killed by the Guardian. The developers confirm this. She also says that she accompanied the Guardian regardless of whether she joined the group or not. The codex entry, however, diverges from this as a rule, but it leaves room for imagination. Whether this is intentional, an oversight or a bug remains unknown. (This may be an attempt to explain her appearance in Dragon Age II, if she was killed during the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest). She appears in the Prince in Exile DLC during Sebastian Vere's Act 3 quest. This happens before she joins the Seekers; As the Lady of the Church Elthina describes her, she plays the role of the "left hand" of the High Priestess Justinia V, (whom we know she knew as a respected Mother during the events of the DLC "Leliana's Song", the right hand was later proclaimed Cassandra). The High Priestess ordered Leliana, working under the alias "Sister Nightingale", to investigate the situation in Kirkwall. Hawke can ask Leliana if she is the same Leliana who helped the Guardian stop the Blight; Leliana will confirm Hawke's guess. If you imported a save game from Dragon Age: Origins where the Gray Warden was in an affair with Leliana, she will say that the Warden was "dear to her heart"; if not, that she has not seen the Guardian for many years, or, if the Guardian became the consort of Anora or Alistair, that they are a “good king/queen”. If in Origins Leliana happened to meet Isabella and spend the night at the Pearl, they will remember this and there will be a rather funny dialogue. Leliana asks Hawke and Sebastian to persuade Elthina to flee Kirkwall and seek refuge in the Great Cathedral in Val Royeaux, but Elthina will refuse. You can also meet Leliana while completing the DLC quests "Mark of the Assassin". Leliana will be Montfort's guest of honor at the Chateau d'Aisne. You can talk to her for a short time, and it turns out that she and Tallis have known each other for a long time. For some reason, Tallis and Leliana will not go into details of their relationship and will try to end the conversation as quickly as possible. Leliana appears in the ending of Dragon Age II. She joins Cassandra in tracking down the Guardian to get her old ally's help in preventing a war between the mages and the templars over the events in Kirkwall and Orlais. Although Leliana favors bows in Origins, she fights with two daggers in Dragon Age II, just like in the Leliana's Song DLC.

Dragon Age: Schism

After the end of the Blight, Leliana returned to Orlais and became the personal bodyguard and spy of the High Priestess Justinia. At one of the balls in Val Royeaux, Leliana meets the knight-captain Evangelina. Around the same time, Leliana arranges a private meeting with the Priestess for Wynn. After the White Spire massacre, Leliana helps Wynn and Evangeline rescue the captured mages. The templars notice her, and this gives the Lord Seeker another reason to accuse the Priestess of treason. After escaping, she and Rhys come to the Reach of Andorhal, where, at her request, Wynn was buried under a large and ancient tree. Leliana remains with the magicians.

Novel

Leliana is a possible romantic interest for both the male and female Guardians. The Guardian's first opportunity to kiss her occurs when her approval reaches Adoration (71 or higher) and she initiates a camp conversation that begins with "I enjoy the night at camp. The night always looks more peaceful, I think. Safer." However, she will not be interested in the tent and will only sleep with the Guardian if she is in love with him/her. She will not fall in love with the Guardian until her personal quest is completed and her approval reaches 91 or higher. To increase her approval, talk a lot, listen to what she tells you, be supportive, avoid criticism when she talks about the Creator, give meaningful gifts, do good deeds while she is in the group, and avoid evil acts (or at least not take her to the group when you do them). Note: Sometimes, regardless of the relationship with Leliana, if her approval is high enough, a romance will begin without the Guardian noticing. This causes current love interests to question the Guardian's relationship with Leliana and vice versa.

Leliana's Past

If you've already talked to Leliana about her past, you know that she was a bard in Orlais and that her mother was from Ferelden. You must leave the camp and return to it again so that Leliana will tell you about Marjolein, her former friend and mentor. Walkthrough After this conversation, when you travel around the world map with Leliana in the group, you will be attacked by a squad of robbers. This will be a very narrow passage, and the group of attackers will include an elite archer and a mage (regular), so be careful. After you have dealt with the attackers and are almost done with the leader, Leliana will ask you not to kill him in order to interrogate him. From him you will learn that the robbers were hired specifically to kill Leliana, and you will receive an address where you can find the one who ordered the murder. After that, you can kill the mercenary or release him on all four sides - that’s your business. Leliana will suggest that Marjoline is behind all this and will offer to find her in Denerim. If you agree, you will earn Leliana's approval. In Denerim, the desired house will be marked on the map. It is located in the Shopping District. You'll have to fight two guards when you enter it, but they're unlikely to pose a problem to you. After the fight, go into the room and you will be greeted by Marjoline. The conversation with Marjoline can end peacefully or not, depending on your desire. If you tell Leliana, "You know she'll haunt you as long as she lives," you'll have to fight her. Marjolein will summon two mages and two warriors to help her, but if you quickly retreat to the door to the street, she will follow you, and the rest may be left behind. Mages almost always remain in their rooms, but warriors can stay or follow Marjolein. Be careful - there is a trap in front of both rooms with magicians. When you kill everyone (or let Marjolein go in peace), Leliana will state that she needs to think and that she will talk to you later. Don't forget to examine the chest in one of the rooms - there is one of the best bows in the game, which only Leliana can use. You will receive the bow regardless of whether Marjolein remains alive or not. Talk to Leliana at the camp. In this conversation, you will have a chance to “toughen up” her character. This won't have much impact on the game - except that in the "Pearl" in Denerim you will have a chance to persuade her to "triangle" with you and Isabella, and in very rare cases - to "quadrangle" with you, Isabella and Zevran. This may also have a slight impact on her ending. If you decide to toughen her character, then when she tells you about her doubts, insist that when she takes pleasure in dealing with opponents, this is part of her character and should not be fought against.

Quotes

(At the first meeting) "What you are doing, what you are assigned to do... there is a Creator behind it all. Let me help you."

“It’s as if the Creator stretched out His hand and said: “Even in darkness there is a place for hope and beauty. Don't lose faith."

“In the monastery, far from the noise and excitement of cities, I found peace. And in this silence I could hear the Creator.”

"Looks like I've been too loose. It doesn't matter who I once was. That's in the past now."

(Leliana's Song: Jewel Theft) "Jewelry? This Sir Wally has clearly never been to Orlais."

(Leliana's Song: By placing stolen valuables on the guard) “And a thief too. This guy has fallen very low."

(Leliana's Song: Taking Jovi's corpse) "Huh. How they get fat on this terrible food!

If the Guardian asks what someone like Leliana was doing in the monastery and then says:

"A beautiful woman like you":

Leliana: Do you think there are few beautiful, attractive women in monasteries? You are very mistaken.

Guard: I don’t believe that everyone is as beautiful as you.

Leliana: Flatterer. However, I didn’t take vows and therefore I don’t seem so mysterious, right?

In a conversation with Leliana about minstrels:

Guardian: They say minstrels are spies.

Leliana: Where does this knowledge come from? Guard: Someone told me - a long time ago.

Leliana: Do you believe everything you hear? (laughs)

Interesting Facts

In the Bioware file about her, she is described as: "Red-haired, pale, slender"

The model of Leliana from the "Sacred Ashes" trailers is based on the model of Alexandra "Alleykatze" Stein

When asked to compare companions to food, Bioware employee Mary Kirby described Leliana as "A sticky cinnamon roll. No question."

Cheryl Chee described her as "macaroni; very French and very feminine." When discussing Orlesian fashion with Leliana, she will mention that before she left, shoes with soles "like bricks" were fashionable. Obviously, this is a nod to platform shoes, just as popular a few years ago and just as impractical.

Leliana is one of three companions who appears in the Sacred Ashes trailer.

If Leliana's approval is high enough, it is possible that she will hum a small tune when the player controls her.

If you give Leliana a naga, she will name him Shmoples.

There are two NPCs in the Shadow that look like Leliana

In the DLC Leliana's Song, Leliana's hair is tied up in a bun, when in Dragon Age: Origins it is loose and two strands are twisted into braids. This is due to the fact that when

in the DLC Leliana's Song, Leliana meets the Guardian of the Church, she says: “You know, you should have some braids.”

If you talk to Bethany in the church in Dragon Age II, she will say, "I miss the Lothering Church. Sister Leliana told the best stories."

If you talk to Aveline in the church in Dragon Age II, she will say that she feels uncomfortable among the novices because of the "red-haired deception in Lothering."
