Processors are an integral part of the mod and are required for most recipes. There are three types:

  • Engineering - to create complex components and elements
  • Computing - maps for tires, a simpler component
  • Logical - simple components and elements

Each is created from a matching imprinted outline, red dust, and imprinted silicon.

  • Printed engineering outline - engineering press and diamond
  • Computing Circuit - Computing Press and Pure True Quartz Crystal
  • Logic circuit - logic press and gold bar
  • Printed silicon - silicon press and silicon (the result of remelting quartz dust, ordinary does not fit)

Accordingly, there are 4 presses, each used to create a specific contour. Also, there is a naming press, we will talk about it in the following guides.

You can find them in a meteorite; in its very center there is a chest in which you can find from 1 to 3 presses; or can be bought at spawn "e / from players.

Meteorite is a structure that spawns when the world is generated, usually on the surface along with a funnel, although it can also be found underground. To facilitate the search, a meteoric compass is used, the arrow points to the nearest meteor. Consists of a Heavenly Stone, can be smelted into a Heavenly Stone Block, which is needed to craft a ME controller.

To create processors you need a die cutter, crafting is quite simple: 5 iron, 2 sticky pistons, 1 (pure /) volatile crystal:

The die cutter must be supplied with energy, from any side, except for the recess - this is the side to be extracted in the case of automation. All recipes can be found in NEI, they differ slightly, you just need to change the press and raw materials.

Automating a die cutter is simple, and there are quite a few ways. I will give only two, the first is a budget option, the second is if you already have an ME network (taken).

It remains to build the simplest network. For this we need an energy source, a controller, a storage device, a terminal and a storage cell.

We install the elements close to each other, supply energy to the controller, and the storage can be used.

There are cards for 1k, 4k, 16k and 64k, each resource takes up a certain amount of memory on the card, while one card cannot store more than 63 types of items. Use cards with the capacity that best suits you based on the amount of your resources.

With the Huge Hive, you will be able to create the necessary climate for the work of bees, accelerate mutations, increase the number of products produced by bees and even get new princesses. Like an apiary, it allows you to get bee products, as well as to breed and select bees, but thanks to several special hive blocks, all these processes can be faster / more convenient / more productive! Everything in order!

The first thing we need to do is create the large hive blocks.
But to craft such blocks, you need to bring out the Imperial Bee to get royal jelly and the Hardworking Bee to get the accumulation of pollen.
And then you can start crafting hive blocks.

Crafting & Building
To get started, here are the costly resources we need:

For 27 hive blocks you will need:
Vegetable oil - 7 buckets / capsules;
Honey - 108 buckets / capsules;
Wood - 216 blocks;
Boards - 648 blocks;
Wax - 432 pcs;
Royal jelly - 216 pcs;
Pollen - 216 pcs.

This multi-block building 3x3x3 consists of 27 hive blocks and 9 slabs (slabs can be used with any tree and can be placed from different trees), installed according to the following scheme:

To craft one hive block, we need 8 pieces of Fragrant Plating and one Impregnated Hull. They are crafted in the carpenter as follows:


To obtain a fragrant casing you will need:
1 royal jelly
3 boards
2 beeswax
1 accumulation of pollen
0.5 buckets of honey

To obtain the Impregnated Hull, you will need:
8 wood (craft can be made from any wood)
0.5 buckets of Vegetable Oil

Drop of honey- one of the materials obtained from the honeycomb using a centrifuge.
It is used directly in the bee analyzer and in the range finder.
Using a juicer from one drop of honey, you can get 0.1 buckets of liquid honey, and there is a 5% chance to get propolis.

Vegetable oil- Produced in a juicer from wheat seeds, pumpkin seeds, watermelon seeds, cherries, walnuts and chestnuts.

The Hive Block itself is crafted in the workbench:

A building can consist not only of ordinary hive blocks, but also of special blocks, such as: a hive heater, a hive fan, a hive sieve, a humidity regulator, a stabilizer and a swarm, and you can also use new special hive blocks from the ExtraBees addon. which I will write in more detail below. The top layer, other than corner blocks, should only be made of hive blocks. As the rest of the blocks, you can use any special blocks in any combination.

Large hives cannot be built on adjacent blocks, there must be at least 1 block between them, otherwise the hive will not work.

The internal interface of the Big Hive is the same as in a regular apiary, only there are no slots for frames.

Usage

A huge hive primarily works faster than an apiary, the speed of an apiary with three frames is equal to 90% of the speed of bees in a huge hive. Considering that without frames, the modifier of the chance of obtaining products in a regular apiary is 10%, and if all three frames are available, it increases to 80%, the Huge hive works 10% faster than an apiary with three frames, which is quite noticeable in the amount of production, moreover, no need to bother with frames. But if you need more production, then it doesn't matter, there is a way out with the help of blocks

Now let's talk about special blocks for the hive.

Special blocks Forestry

Hive heater:

The craft uses:
2 Gold vacuum tubes,
1 Iron Ingot,
1 hive block,
3 Stones.

Hive fan:

The craft uses:
1 gold vacuum tube,
4 Iron Ingots,
1 Hive block.

Used to increase / decrease the temperature in the hive. Powered by motors (like all Forestry mechanisms). For stable operation, the device requires about 3 MJ of energy, which is quite a lot. If less power is supplied, the device will become unstable and the temperature will jump.

One heater / fan changes the temperature in a small range, and regardless of the amount of energy received, they will not change the temperature further, for this you need to install another device. That is, if you put one heater in a biome with a normal temperature, then the climate of the hive will change to a jungle. If you add another heater, then the climate will change even further - to the desert.

Humidity regulator

The craft uses:
6 Glasses,
2 Iron Ingots,
1 Hive block.

It is used to regulate humidity, does not require motor energy and operates from tanks with water or lava. Lava reduces humidity, making the climate drier and water, respectively, more humid. The internal capacity of the regulator is 10 buckets.

The implementation of the water supply can be carried out by connecting the liquid pipes from the pump.

Swarm

The craft uses:
4 diamond electronic lamps,
2 Gold Ingots,
1 Hive block.

The swarm allows you to get new princesses. For the swarm to work, you need to put royal jelly in it. If there is an active queen in the hive, then it will be gradually consumed and as a result of an area of ​​40 cells near the hive, a swarm hive will appear, in which there will be a princess with a genome inherited from the queen of the hive. To break this hive, of course, you need to use a butterfly net.

Based on my own experience, I can say that from four stacks of milk you will get about 5-7 such hives.

Attention! All the princesses of the swarm hive IgnobleStock(Of non-noble origin) - this means that they are mortal, i.e. after a random number of cycles, the queen in the litter will only give drones. This is not infertility, as it was before, but mortality, because the drones do not become infected and can be used for crossing in the future.
I checked such bees and I can say that they worked for me from 5 to 17 cycles,

[b] Hive stabilizer

The craft uses:
6 Quartz,
1 Hive block.

This block is needed to prevent mutations in the Huge Hive.

Hive sieve

The craft uses:
3 Iron Ingots,
3 Silk fabrics,
1 Hive block.

This block will be useful for those who are engaged in crossing trees. Trees are pollinated by bees and butterflies, but they can also be manually pollinated with pollen by using the RMB on the foliage block of the desired tree. Pollen can be obtained by killing butterflies (Brutal Method), or by placing a Hive Sieve in your Huge Hive. Right-click on this block, open its interface and see that there are several slots in it, namely 5 - four slots for pollen, which will be collected there, and one slot for silk fabric.

We put the fabric in the slot and wait, after a while pollen will appear in other slots, we take it away, while the silk fabric is spent

After about an hour, you get 4 pollen.

Even if you take only one pollen, the fabric will be spent, so it will be more economical to wait until all 4 slots are filled with pollen and then pick it up. A very important point! Install this block only in the hive in which bees pollinate flowers, otherwise you will not wait for pollen.

Special blocks Extra Bees

Lighting

The craft uses:
1 gold vacuum tube,
5 Light dust,
1 Hive block.

Installing this block in the Huge Hive will allow bees to work at night, even if the bee does not have a night gene.

Rain Shield

The craft uses:
2 gold vacuum tubes,
3 Bricks,
1 Hive block.

Allows the bees in the Huge Hive to work in the rain, even if the bee does not have the Flyer stat.

Frame Housing

The craft uses:
3 gold vacuum tubes,
3 Iron Ingots,
1 Hive block.

Provides the ability to insert frames.

One block - one frame. Useful if you need to get a lot of products quickly. It is also convenient when breeding new species of bees, because allows you to use the Soul Frame to increase the chance of mutation. All frames are spent faster than in a regular apiary.

Forestry Frames increase the chances of bees creating honeycombs and other possible products. Each frame doubles the chance modifier (if it is less than 10). Without frames, the modifier of the chance of getting products in the apiary is 10%, and if all three frames are present, it increases to 80%

  • Unfinished frame.
  • Impregnated frame.
  • Checked frame.
Magic bees
  • Magic frame. It doubles the productivity of bees.
  • Sturdy frame. It doubles the productivity of bees.
  • Lightweight frame. Bee Life + 50%. Productivity + 40%. Mutation chance -30%.
  • Metabolic framework. Productivity + 20%. Mutation chance + 80%.
  • Necrotic frame. Bee life -70%. Productivity -25%.
  • Time frame. Increases the life of bees by 2.5 times.
  • Forgotten frame. Life time of bees is 27 seconds. With this frame, the bees will not bring any production.
Extra Bees
  • Chocolate Frame or Chocolate Frame. Accelerates production speed by 50%. Reduces the lifespan by 50%.
  • Healing Frame or Healing Frame. Increases lifespan by 50%, but reduces production by 75% and the chance of mutation by 50%.
  • Restraint Frame. Reduces lifespan and production speed by up to 75%, work area by 50%.
  • Bee Soul Frame or Soul Frame. Increases the chance of mutation by 50%, reduces the lifespan to 75%, and the production rate to 25%.
Mutator

The craft uses:
2 Diamond vacuum tubes,
2 Gold Ingots,
1 Hive block.

Increases the chance of mutation depending on the catalyst. Indispensable for breeding new species of bees. As a catalyst, you can use:
Soul sand- The chance of a successful mutation is increased by 1.5 times;
Ender Pearls- The chance of a successful mutation is doubled;
Eye of the Ender- The chance of a successful mutation is increased by 4 times;
Uranus 238- The chance of a successful mutation is increased by 10 times (Caution! The princess may die!);
Nether Star- The chance of a successful mutation is increased by 50 times.

The effects of blocks with catalysts are cumulative, for example, you install three blocks in the hive and put souls in each sand - the chance of a successful mutation will increase not 1.5, but 4.5 times (1.5 * 3). But the total effect of only three blocks is taken into account, so there is no point in placing more than three.

One catalyst is enough for only one cycle of the queen's life, and it is spent at the moment of completion of the mutation, i.e. when the queen dies.

If you put in a sufficiently powerful catalyst, and even use more than one mutation block, then the desired type of bee, even if this species has a low percentage of the probability of mutation, at the end of the cycle, will turn out not in the form of a hybrid, but as a pure new species with a stable genome!

Huge Hive Automation

Well, now I will tell you how to connect it to the ME system.
This is not difficult!
To start, build a hive with 3 Frame Housing
One Rain Shield and [b] Lighting
This hive turns out to be the most optimal for bringing products (well, this is from my point of view)

and we bring one export and import bus to the hive at the top

We put 1-2 acceleration cards in the tires (at personal discretion)
Be sure to put 1 fuzzy card and 1 capacity card in the import bus and make a note on the princess and the drone
Attention! ME works with only one kind of bees, if you use 2 hives and 2 types of bees, then the bees can mix and there will be a borda.

Ores and simple tools

The mod adds quartz ore to the generation of the world, when mined, quartz crystal and dust can fall out. Quartz ore can be found at 64-18 blocks in the normal world with 1-4 ore blocks per vein. Quartz is used to craft cars and wires from the mod. Crystals can also be used to craft a set of tools.

All tools are similar to hardware and provide a good alternative when you are low on hardware. The key is used to rotate and adjust the machines. You can use a key from BuildCraft if available.

Quartz whetstone is used at the initial stages of the game, it allows you to get quartz powder from crystals, as well as iron and gold powder from ores and flour from wheat. When used, it doubles the mined ore, flour can be fried in the oven and make bread from two units of wheat, instead of three.

Electric tools

The mod adds two tools that allow you to influence the blocks. The vibration catalyst remelts any block without mining it, if the result of the remelting is an object, then the block will drop. The entropy accelerator works exactly the opposite, freezing water and turning rock and lava into cobblestone and obsidian.

Details for crafting

Quartz fiber is the basis of ME Cable crafting.

ME Processors are required to craft almost all vehicles in Applied Energistics. With the BuildCraft mod, Redstone and diamond chips, created using the assembly table from BuildCraft, will be used instead of the processors.

ME Memory cells are used to craft ME Memory Cards, which will contain information about stored items.

The ME Transformation Matrix is ​​used to craft items that convert matter into energy and vice versa.

The wireless transmitter is used in the craft of wireless terminals and hotspots.

ME Wireless Amplifier is used to increase the range of ME Wireless Access Points

Cables and buses

ME Cables are a reliable transport system of ME Network, they can connect to any devices and buses located nearby. Can be painted and connected only with unpainted cable. Colored cables connected to the device paint the display in their own color.

ME The dark cable works as a switch and is useful for disconnecting unnecessary sections of the network.

ME Emitter gives a signal depending on the amount of the specified object in the ME Network.

The ME Import Bus removes items from the connected inventory and imports them into the ME Network. Items and their quantity can be configured in the device interface. Can import items either one at a time or in stacks.

DOE Export Bus exports items from DOE Grid to connected inventory. To work, you need to specify which items should be exported.

ME Storage Bus allows you to adapt any container from a vanilla game or mods to interact with the ME Network. Has an interface with which you can customize the allowed items for storage in the container.

Elements of ME Network

The center of your network, ME The controller is the power supply unit of the network and ensures the operation of all elements. It is recommended not to install two controllers for the same network. It needs 6 units of energy / tick to work, can be powered by IndustrialCraft2 (2 units of energy for one EU) or from BuildCraft (5 units of energy for one MJ). In its interface, it displays the energy consumption of each element of the ME Network and the total energy consumption in energy units.

ME Access Terminal gives you access to all items and crafting recipes on the web. You can change the sorting mode: alphabetically, by number of items, priority.

ME Crafting Terminal gives you access to the ME Net and allows you to craft using items from the net.

ME Memory cards store information about objects that can be placed and removed from the card using ME Chest, ME Drive and ME IO Port. There are four types of cards, 1MB, 4MB, 16MB and 64MB. The capacity of the cards is quite large, for example, 520192 pcs can be placed on a 64 MB card. any item of the same kind. A large number of types of items take up more space on the map, so it is more profitable to set the types of stored items using the ME Preformer.

ME Preformer allows you to name memory cards and determine what items will be stored on it. It is not part of the ME Network and does not need access to it.

ME Chest is the simplest way to use ME Memory Cards, it will give you direct access to the contents of the card. When you place a card in the chest, it will change the color of the indicator. Red - there is no place for anything, green - there is a place for objects and their types, orange - there is no place for types, but there is a place for objects, if there is no energy, then the indicator is off.

ME Drive is designed for storing memory cards and holds ten cards of any size. Access to maps in ME Drive can be provided only by ME Access Terminal and ME Crafting Terminal.

ME IO Port allows you to quickly move items from the ME memory card to the network and back. Has an interface for configuring the data movement mode.

ME The storage monitor shows the amount of a certain item in the ME Network. RMB with any object on the monitor will set the type of the displayed object. Shift + RMB using a key will lock the monitor and prevent it from being updated. Shift + RMB with the ME Transform Matrix will install it in the monitor and allow you to take out the stack of the displayed item by pressing RMB.

ME Interface allows you to interact with pipes and machines from other mods. You can configure the export and import of certain items from the ME Network to the interface and vice versa for use by machines from other mods.

ME Wireless Access Point allows you to use ME Wireless Access Terminal to connect to your network. Has a standard radius of 16 blocks, which can be expanded using ME Wireless Amplifiers, which will increase the radius by another 16 blocks in total.

ME Wireless Access Terminal is similar to a fixed terminal. To use, you must put it in the ME Controller to define the network. Only one network can be recognized by the terminal; to work with another network, the wireless terminal needs to be reprogrammed in the controller.

Crafting system

ME An empty template to which you can write any crafting recipe.

The ME Template Editor is used to write a recipe to an empty template, which can then be placed in the ME Molecular Synthesis Chamber or ME Interface for autocrafting an item upon request. You can overwrite templates. The template editor is not part of the ME Network and does not need to be connected to it.

ME Crafting Monitor allows you to view the current crafting tasks, their status, and allows you to disable running tasks.

The ME Molecular Synthesis Chamber serves as a crafting center and contains recipe templates. To work, you need to connect to the ME Network.

Consists of four types of blocks:

  • The corners are constructed from the ME Walls of the chamber.
  • All walls of the chamber consist of ME Heat sink.
  • ME Templates storage is used to place templates. One storage block holds one page with templates (how many?) And is located inside the camera.
  • The ME Crafting Processor speeds up the crafting process by adding one additional operation every three ticks.

As a result, you can get a camera of any size, from 3x3 blocks, to infinity. But do not forget that the larger the camera, the more power it will consume.

Applied Energistics Installation
