Health

Here are potions for all kinds of operations with your health. An ordinary heart in the "Duration" row means that health will be restored all this time. Now you can create elixirs that temporarily increase characteristics or restore health. When creating potions in the game, trophies from most monsters are used (previously these items were not needed, but were still present in the world). For example, from the spider eye, which was added in version 1.9, you can create an elixir that allows you to breathe underwater. In addition to the items dropped from monsters, creating potions will require water, sugar, and probably a glass vessel. Most of the ingredients can be obtained in the Nether: tears fall from ghasts, and fire rods from efreet, from which two portions of fire powder can be obtained.

Potions are divided not only by type, but also by quality. From the names of the elixir, one can understand what kind of effect it has. In total, there are about 400 recipes in the game (possibly much more). Elixirs can be created using the cauldron and tripod, which will be introduced in the completed version 1.9.

Recipes

Elixirs of Positive Action

From the tears of the ghasts, the player will be able to get the elixir of health of the first level, which will instantly restore a few lives of the character. For the second level potion, you need to mix sugar, hellish wart and a ball of mucus. Elixir of health of the third level can be obtained from all of the above components, but in addition to a ball of mucus, you should use a fire powder.

In order to float freely in lava, you can create a fire resistance potion. For three minutes, the player cannot be set on fire. The duration of action may vary depending on the ingredients used. To create such a potion, you will need magma slime, which, possibly, will fall out from magma cubes (analogs of slugs, but in the Nether world).

Potion recipes can be crossed, experimenting to obtain a high quality elixir that gives several boosts at once. So, if you mix magma slime and a ghast tear, you can get an elixir that gives resistance to fire and restores most of your health. If, say, sugar increases speed for a while, then by crossing it with a ghast tear, you can get a healing potion of speed.

To swim with impunity in lava for about three minutes, you can mix spider eye, water and magma slime. The character will receive not only resistance to fire, but also the ability to breathe underwater.

Elixirs of Impact

The use of some elixirs can lead to unpleasant consequences. Let's say if you mix sugar, water, fermented spider eye and hellish wart, then speed will increase, health will be added, and fire resistance will improve. The side effect of such a potion is hunger, which will end only after a minute and a half.

Elixirs of influence can cause instant damage to the player, slow him down for a while and can even poison him. Now players will be able to build their laboratories and conduct experiments there, mixing the necessary ingredients in different proportions to improve the effect of the elixir.

If you drink milk, then the effect of the potion will not be (if you try to get under the influence of the potion).

Base

Also, if you prefer digging caves rather than walking in nature, you can find cobblestones in the lower levels and in hell. This material is formed when lava comes into contact with flowing water, so, as a last resort, you can make yourself some consumables yourself.

Kernel

The next item that you need to get before you craft a potion maker in Minecraft is an ifrit rod. As you guessed, to get it you will have to defeat the monster of the same name. Unfortunately, there is no other way to get this material.

So stock up on a bow and arrow, make yourself a couple of buckets of water and head into the deepest dungeon. There, pour the water into the lava, take the cobblestone and arrange an ifrit safari. Approaching him with a melee weapon is not recommended simply because on medium difficulty he can kill you in one hit. It is recommended to use a potion of fire resistance to hunt this creature, but since you are only crafting your first brewing rack, you probably don't have it.

By the way, you will have to kill ifrit only with your own hands. If you use traps or dynamite, then the rod will not fall out of it.

Receiving

There are several ways to craft a potion maker in Minecraft. The first one is directly related to the process of creating items. Go to the workbench and place 3 cobblestones in the bottom row of the interface. Place the extracted ifrit rod in the center slot. You should now be able to start the production process. There is another way to get your hands on a cooking rack. In this case, you do not have to figure out how to craft a potion maker. Since version 1.9, a new natural structure has been added to the game that is generated in snow biomes - an igloo. They consist of one room, but with a 50% chance they can have a basement equipped with a cooking counter.

You can use it immediately or dig it up with a silk-touch pickaxe. This will prevent the item from being destroyed during extraction.

The instructions on how to craft a potion maker can be considered complete. There are no other ways to get this item, and it is not yet foreseen.

Make cooking utensils. You will need several items to create the potion, as well as a water source. The required items need to be created using the workbench.

• Brewing Stand. It is necessary for brewing a potion. You can craft it by placing three cobblestone blocks in the bottom row of the crafting table squares and one Blaze Rod in its center square.
• Cauldron (Cauldron). The cauldron is not actually required to brew the potion, but you can hold water in it. The cauldron holds a bucket of water, which is enough to fill three bottles. The cauldron can be made by placing seven iron ingots in the outermost squares of the workbench, leaving the top center and middle squares empty.
• Glass bottles. You will store your potions in them. Bottles can be taken from witches or fished out of the water, but you can also make them yourself by placing three glass blocks in the crafting table cages: one block in the lower center cage, one in the left middle cage, and the third block in the right middle cage. You will craft three bottles at a time.
