Educational memory game. Memory: memory for sweets. version of the game "Memory: numbers and dots"

Julia Chernykh

I want to tell you about a game that is very popular in our group. This is a game " memory".

For games you need a set of paired cards with images on a topic. Meaning games is to find paired cards and collect as many of them as possible.

rules games"memory"These are. All cards are shuffled and laid out on the table face down. The first player makes a move, opening two cards at once. If the images on them are the same, then the player takes the cards for himself and gets the right to one more move. If not, then the cards are placed exactly where they were, face down. The next player goes next. The winner is the one who has at the end games there will be more collected pairs of cards.

A game " memory"perfectly trains the visual memory of children, develops their attentiveness, perseverance, figurative and logical thinking.

We have several kits for games"memory".

"Color memorial". This kind memorial helps to consolidate children's knowledge about colors.

memory"Geometric shapes", thanks to which we also repeat colors and consolidate knowledge about geometric shapes.

Memory on the topic"Transport": repeat and pronounce the names various modes of transport.

memory"Road signs" - a great tool for repeating the rules of the road.

Memory for a fairy tale"Turnip": find and collect paired pictures with your favorite characters.

In the plans - replenishment of the collection of games " memory with new themed options!

One of the main tasks in my work is the interaction of preschoolers with peers and adults. Being in search of the most suitable ways for this, I drew attention to the game "Memory".

While playing we have a great opportunity to get to know each other better. Children who are carried away by the game show certain traits of their character - honesty, cunning, excitement, touchiness, etc. Another advantage is that in the process of playing in a company, children learn to lose, to restrain their emotions, and these are very important character traits.

"Memory" this is not only a fun, but also a useful educational game - with its help, preschoolers train:

  • perseverance,
  • child attention,
  • develop memory,
  • visual perception.

The game is a pair of cards on various topics. Before the start of the game, the leader shuffles the cards and lays them out in front of the players with the reverse side up. Players must turn over two cards. If they are the same, then the player takes them for himself, if not, he leaves them in place, not turned over. Then the turn passes to the next player. The winner is the one with the most cards.

The game is quite simple, but effective!

Of course, for each age, I tried to select a level of difficulty determined by age characteristics so that the goal was quite difficult, but solvable, otherwise interest in the game would quickly disappear.

At the beginning of the 2013-2014 academic year, we, with pupils of the middle group, based on the mechanism of the classical version, began to create various options. I tried to use different areas of knowledge and different channels of information perception. I want to present our work experience to your attention. Here are some variations of the Memory game.

1 version of the game "Memory: figures"

  • 16 cards with images of figures;
  • thick cardboard;
  • self-adhesive paper:
  • glue;
  • brushes;
  • napkins;
  • scissors.

Parents helped print the pictures, and the guys and I started making them: we cut out cards with images of figures, pasted them on cardboard. A colored shirt was glued on top of the cardboard. We examined our products, discussed, counted, named. And they started playing.

Game progress:

An adult (at the beginning of mastering the game) or a child lays out the cards first “face up” in a chaotic manner, the children look and remember, then everyone turns away (or closes their eyes), and the leader turns the cards face down, after which each player takes turns opening two cards if they match, he takes them for himself, if not, then turns them back. Whoever has the most cards wins.

Purpose of the game: Consolidation of knowledge about geometric shapes and color.

2 game option

"Memory: with paper cups and constructor"

To make cards, we needed:

  • 12 paper cups;
  • multi-colored details of the designer;
  • stickers with the name of the game "Memory" (for cups);
  • glue;
  • brushes;
  • napkins;
  • scissors.

The children and I selected six colors of the designer, each color has two parts. Parents helped to print stickers with the name of the game "Memory". They took cups, the guys cut out and pasted stickers with the name of the game on the cups. We examined our products, discussed, counted, named. And they started playing.

Game progress:

The facilitator lays out the details of the designer on the top of the cups in a chaotic manner, the players look and remember the location of the details, then everyone turns away, the facilitator hides the details of the designer under the cups. The player opens (raises) two cups and, if there are details of the same color under them, he takes these details for himself, if the designer is of a different color, then he puts the cups in their place. Then the turn passes to another player, regardless of the outcome of the move. After training, the children took turns playing the role of the leader, it is very important that the child experience both the role of the player and the role of the leader. So the child sees the game as a whole, which means that he will be able to play it in the future without the help and instructions of adults. For example, I am very happy when children volunteer to conduct a game; in such cases, I gladly accept the position of a participant.

I try to closely monitor the process of the game so that if necessary, I can help the children. At the end of the game, when not a single cup is left on the table, each participant counts his "earned" points.

Purpose of the game: Development of visual memory.

3 version of the game "Memory halves"

To make cards, we needed:

  • cardboard;
  • glue;
  • brushes;
  • napkins;
  • scissors.

Once again, the parents printed out the pictures for us, and the guys and I set about making our game. They pasted pictures on cardboard, then “fitted” a colored shirt on top of the cardboard. Cut the cards in half. We collected the halves, examined the images. Let's start the game! To keep order and reminders, the children and I agreed to use a desk bell. Subsequently, this call was used as a reward for those children who made the right move or won.

Game progress:

An adult (or child) lays out the cards first “face up” in a chaotic manner, the players look and remember, then they all turn away, and the leader turns the cards upside down, after which each player in turn opens two cards if they match, he takes them for himself, if no, it flips back. Whoever has the most cards wins.

It is much more difficult to play in a team than alone! Keeping the queue, remembering what the other player opened... it's not easy! Hands are reaching for the cards not in their turn!

Purpose: to form the ability to make a whole out of parts.

4 version of the game "Memory: recognize the animal"

To make cards, we needed:

  • 6 pictures depicting animals;
  • 6 pictures depicting his color;
  • glue;
  • brushes;
  • napkins;
  • scissors.

They printed pictures on self-adhesive paper, on one side of the cardboard sheet they glued pictures with animals and their colors, on the other, just a beautiful picture with small objects and laminated it.

5 version of the game "Memory: animals and their shadows"

  • 6 pictures depicting animals;
  • 6 pictures depicting their shadows;
  • glue ;
  • brushes;
  • napkins;
  • scissors.

They printed pictures on self-adhesive paper, on one side of the cardboard sheet they glued pictures with animals and their shadows, on the other, just a beautiful picture with small objects.

Game progress:

An adult (or child) lays out the cards first “face up” in a chaotic manner, the players look and remember, then everyone turns away, and the leader turns the cards upside down, after which each player in turn opens two cards if they match, he takes them for himself, if not, it flips back. Whoever has the most cards wins.

Purpose: Development of visual memory and attention.

6 version of the game "Memory: numbers and dots"

To make this version of the game, we needed:

  • 20 paper plates;
  • stickers with numbers and numerical figures (dots);
  • glue;
  • brushes;
  • napkins;
  • self-adhesive paper

This time the guys and I decided to use paper plates.

Parents printed out stickers with numerical figures and numbers, the inscription “memory” was already made with us.

On the other hand, the guys and I stuck a sticker with the word “memory”. First, we matched the plates with dots with a plate-pair with a number: we counted the dots, called the number, and looked for a suitable plate with a number. After the children easily learned to connect dots with numbers and realized that these two plates of steam, we started the game. Unlike the simple option to find a paired picture, here you need to include not only memory, but also count and build a relationship between quantity and number.

Purpose: To teach how to build a relationship between quantity and number, form elementary mathematical representations, exercise to correlate the number and the number of objects within 10.

7 version of the game "Memory: vowels"

To make this version of the game, we needed:

  • 20 red milk bottle caps;
  • pictures depicting letters;
  • scissors.

Children with their parents brought caps from plastic bottles (of the same color). The guys and I cut out the letters and inserted them into the caps. Here is another version of the game ready!

Game progress:

The host lays out the caps first “face up” in a chaotic manner, the players look and remember the location of the letters, then everyone turns away, and the host turns the caps upside down, after which each player in turn opens two caps if the letters match, he takes them for himself, if not then it flips back. Whoever has the most caps wins.

Purpose: to learn the vowels of the alphabet.

8 version of the game "Memory - emotions"

To make this version of the game, we needed:

  • 12 wooden discs
  • black marker.

The parents of the pupils (dads) made 12 wooden discs for the game, and the children and I drew six basic emotion pictograms: sadness, joy, surprise, anger, calmness, fear.

Game progress:

The host lays out the wooden disks in a chaotic manner, then we examine and remember, then we turn over and find a pair, the one with the most disks wins!

Goal: development of the emotional sphere.

9 version of the game "Memory from natural materials"

To make the game, we needed:

  • fruit pits;
  • acorns;
  • chestnuts;
  • hawthorn berries;
  • shells;
  • nuts.

The children brought natural materials from home.

Goal: Development of visual perception

Children in the process of creating the game showed: interest, resourcefulness, ingenuity, ingenuity, attentiveness, accuracy, diligence, diligence, perseverance, helping each other.

At the initial stage, the game was carried out in the course of joint activities of an adult and children. I taught children to interact with each other, to follow the rules of the game. Then the pupils began to use games in independent activities in the morning and evening hours.

The game "Memory" so captivated children and their parents that we decided to hold a contest "Think up your own" Memory "the results were impressive. Here are the options offered:

  • "Memory" Pisces ",
  • "Memory" Birds ",
  • "Memory" The Four Seasons ",
  • "Memory "Natural Phenomena",
  • "Memory" Professions ",
  • "Memory "Cartoon Heroes",
  • "Memory" Brands of Machines ",
  • "Memory "Flowers",
  • "Memory" Trees ",
  • "Memory "Mushrooms",
  • "Memory "Vegetables-Fruits",
  • "Memory" Household Appliances ",
  • "Memory "Furniture",
  • "Memory" Animals ",
  • "Memory "Musical Instruments",
  • "Memory" Emotions "(which we have already made).

We considered the most interesting “Memory“ Find your mother ”(cut out photos of children and their mothers and you need to make a couple - a baby and his mother.

In addition to the above-mentioned option, our future plans also include the production of "Memory: clock and time" and "Memory - copybook.

The Memory game captivated children and their parents so much that it took first place among the favorite and useful games, and children and their parents began to play Memory at home!

Practicing the second year of studying and implementing the game with children in my group, I observe a positive trend in the development of children. The guys began to interact more with each other, even without the participation of an adult, independently distribute responsibilities, cope with the role of a leader. Even those children who showed the least interest in playing together became more active and sociable.

Therefore, the use of all the above options, this game helps to improve visual memory, mindfulness, and also helps to reveal the creative potential of children.

I hope that my developments of Memory games will help both you and your pupils to master and apply in your practice, and maybe even continue to model your own versions of the game and fall in love with it.

  • 10 balloons of the same color;
  • cereals: beans, peas, buckwheat, pasta (spirals), fine soil.

Together with the children, they filled the balls with beans, peas, fine soil, pasta (spirals), buckwheat. Each ball in two copies. First, the children tried to find a bag exactly like the sample. The game is ready!

Game progress:

We lay out the balls in a chaotic manner and then we play according to the usual rules of "memory"!

Goal: Development of manual intelligence, i.e. motility.

When Yana was 2 years old with a little ponytail, we started playing memory. I think this game is familiar to most, but I want to describe our version and the rules for effective memorization. The essence of the game is classic - we lay out cards with images, then we invite the child to remember them. After you remember, turn it upside down and offer to find where which image is hidden.

We started playing with 3 cards. As Yana coped with the proposed cards, I increased their number. At the moment, with the right attitude, we can cope with 16 cards. Often they are all guessed, and I have a desire to increase the number, but so far it stops the instability of the result.

In the video you can see how Yana guesses 12 out of 15 cards:

Memory tuning and performance

And now more about how to make memorization more effective. Already at the first attempts to increase the number of cards in the game, I was faced with the fact that Yana does not remember them. I already wanted to give up and remove the game from the arsenal, but a wonderful coincidence happened, and at the next game, Yana suddenly guessed the offered 5 cards out of 5 easily, then 6 out of 6, 7 out of 7, 10 out of 12! When figuring out the reasons for such efficiency, I realized that Yana had the perfect setting at that moment.

At the moment, I believe that most children are able to memorize this number of cards at the age of Yana without much preparation. The main thing is that the child is tuned in and understands the rules of the game.

How to set up a child to remember better

By proper tuning, I mean not only the child's interest in the game, but also the readiness of the brain to memorize. Yana is always happy to accept ideas to play cards, but she does not always guess them well. This is surprising, but even a child's interest in the game does not give such effectiveness as brain tuning. In fact, both are required.

Now a few tips on how to set up the child's brain for the game. We use the tuning elements from the Shichida technique. Therefore, here, looking ahead, I will give some specific tips, and this will be described in detail in the article about Shichida. Recommendations for setting up effective memory exercises:

  • Make sure the child is not overexcited. Overexcitement is the first sign that the session will fail. The ideal time for memory games is immediately after sleep.
  • For more effective activation of brain activity, turn on the background music with the addition of alpha waves. This is another big and interesting topic that mothers interested in memory development should know and I will definitely write about it in the future. For those who are unfamiliar with this topic, you can simply download the compositions in alpha processing by Jeffrey Thompson that we are listening to. For those who are familiar with Shichida, this surname may be known. But I want to draw attention to the fact that Thompson is processing music with different types of waves. You should not include any of his compositions, thinking that it is alpha. Attention, despite the fact that this music seems to be soothing, it activates the brain, so it is absolutely impossible to listen to it all day or during sleep. I usually turn it on 10 minutes before the start of the class and leave it to play in the background for the entire class.
  • Offer your child a breathing activity - blow out candles, blow soap bubbles, gurgle a tube in a glass of water (if the child does not drink water, shampoo can be added for effect), etc. Important If these activities are offered to the child rarely or for the first time, then most likely they will cause overexcitation and memorization will be difficult. Ideally, breathing exercises should be carried out regularly and be a source of calm rather than overexcitation.
  • Invite the child to imagine or recall a story. It is necessary to ensure that the child is immersed in the images of his memories or fantasies.

Rules of the game

Everyone knows the basic rules of memory, but I want to talk about our options. Not the fact that they are suitable for everyone, but they are the ones that cause the most effective memorization for us.

In conclusion

In addition to developing memory, memory can be used as a tool to track the progress of memory development. To do this, it is necessary to keep records of the results of the baby in the diary of his development with a certain frequency. Interesting games and good memory!

UPD 05/20/2015: Our new maximum is 20 cards without one mistake.

What develops

First of all, Memory is a game for memory, its active training. Look at the card, remember where it lay, put it face down in its place and repeat again until you find a pair. Such a pastime also has a positive effect on visual perception, because these two processes are inseparable from each other.

The Memo game has a little more than 44 cards, which is the optimal load: it does not tire you yet, but it already trains your brain. The game takes approximately 10 to 30 minutes, which helps to teach the child to perseverance and enhances his concentration.

  • 50 double-sided cards (25 pairs),
  • regulations,
  • booklet with detailed information on the topic.

Some game sets differ in the number of cards. For example, Memory for children includes 72 elements, Memory with animals - 48. High-quality and bright cards for the Memory game will differ in content from version to version.

Rules and move

The Ravensburger Memo or Memory game is designed for 1-8 players. It can even be played alone to kill time or practice mindfulness. The sequence of moves is chosen arbitrarily. Shuffle the cards and place them randomly face down next to each other. When everything is laid out, you can start.

Each player turns over two random cards in turn so that all participants can see them. If they match each other, he takes the pair for himself and gets an extra turn. If the images on the exposed cards are different, the player puts them back in place face down and passes his turn. The one with the most pairs wins.
Paintings by Russian artists

As such, the Memo or Memory board game is one of the easiest to understand and great for the youngest players. If you get bored with the standard way of playing, try playing with the alternative rules described below.

Classic variant

In its original version, the Memory game consists of pairs of identical cards. They are laid out on the table or the floor face down, the turn is determined by agreement, two random cards are opened per move, and the game proceeds according to the standard rules. Due to this, victory depends more on the player's actions than on luck, namely on how successfully he remembers the place of each of the pair of cards.

Find!

At the beginning of the game, the cards are shuffled and laid out on the table in a random order, face down. The youngest participant starts. He opens the first card and leaves it open on the table. The next player makes the same move.

As soon as two identical cards are revealed on the table, that is, a pair, each participant tries to find and cover with his palm the one that was open first. In addition, he needs to shout "Found!" or "Found it!". The one who manages to do this before the others takes a couple of cards for himself and opens a new card from those lying on the table.

If the player made a mistake, for example, covered the wrong card with his hand, then he must return one of the previously won pairs (if any) to the box. The game ends when only two cards remain on the table. This last pair is taken by the participant who won the previous move. The winner is the one with the most cards left in their hand.

dexterous fingers

Take the cards out of the box and spread them on the table. Have one of the participants shout “Go!” - this will be the signal for the beginning. Now all players must simultaneously try to find pairs. Cards can be flipped face up or vice versa.

Did you see two of the same? Grab them and put them on the table in front of you. It is important that you can pick up a pair only when you see both parts of it on the table. You cannot pick up one card and after that you cannot look for a pair.
All Russia

If two players divide a pair between themselves, grabbing at the same time its components, then it is eliminated from the game and sent to the box. The game ends when the one lying on the table can no longer be paired. If one of the participants mistakenly picked up cards that did not match each other, he must additionally put one of his correct pairs into the box.

small house

Create two stacks on the table face down so that each of them contains one card from a pair. The first pile will be called "house". If you are, try the option where the child is asked to arrange the cards of the second pile "shirt" up in the form of a rectangle consisting of 5 rows of 6 cards each. This will be the ground.

The youngest participant gets the right to start the game. He removes the top card from the “house” and places it face up next to him. Then he reveals one card from the "earth", chosen at random. If this is a pair, the player takes it for himself and makes the same second move, removing a new top card from the pile.

If the card from the rows of the "land" does not fit, then it must be turned back and the move is passed to the participant sitting on the left. His task is to try to find a pair on the first try. The party ends when the elements of the "house" run out. The one with the most pairs wins.

Who will suit

The advantage of Memo is its simplicity and accessibility for all participants. You can even say that the possible age of Memo players is from 4 to 44 years old, and with a little help from parents, younger children can also take part in the process.

Memo is the perfect family entertainment, it can be played alone, in pairs or in a group, used to expand the horizons of schoolchildren, a cozy romantic evening at home, fortune-telling by candlelight cards or a noisy alcohol party, it depends solely on the imagination of the participants.
