Demon Hunter - WoW Class Review. Demon Hunter Guide to Extermination Famous Demon Hunters wow

Demon Hunter “Revenge” plays the role of a tank, relying on felfire magic and physical strength to protect allies from opponents. So far, only elves can master this demonic art, so there can be no questions about the choice of race: Blood Elves for the Horde and Night Elves for the Alliance. In any case, read our WoW guide DH Revenge - we tell you everything in detail.

This spec uses two main resources - Pain (analogous to the anger of “Extermination” or rage for warriors) and fragments of the soul, used to restore health. The main concept of this tank is represented by a balance between the ability to reduce damage received and restore health.

Let's take a look at the strengths and weaknesses of this new class in the Vengeance specialization.

Pros:

  • Good protection from physical damage
  • One of the strongest tanks in terms of DPS, especially on AoE
  • Good mobility
  • Lots of different controls, effective against a group of opponents

Minuses:

  • Not very friendly with magic damage
  • No way to survive massive amounts of burst damage of any type

WoW for Russian players initially existed only in foreign languages, since the native language of the game is English, many terms to this day are formed from the English names of established mechanics and many abilities.

AoE- (from the English Area of Effect) literally - this is the area in which the effect occurs, whether damage is done in this area or healing is performed does not matter. Typically this abbreviation is used as a command to deal damage in a group/raid to multiple targets. It is also used to describe any boss ability with the effect described above.

Agro- (from the English “aggravation”, which means irritation) is used in the game to indicate the enemy’s desire to hit someone. The more aggro, the higher the chance of being a victim of enemy attacks.

Buff- positive effect. By default it is displayed to the left of the minimap along its top edge.

Burst— (from the English Burst), an ability that allows you to inflict a large amount of damage in a short time in various ways.

Gir— (from the English Gear) is essentially equipment.

GKD— (short for English Global Cooldown) is the total recovery time of abilities.

Debuff- negative effect. By default it is displayed to the left of the minimap along its bottom edge.

DoT— (from English Damage over Time) is an effect that causes damage over time

DPS— (from the English DPS — Damage per Second) is a value that reflects the damage dealt per second.

Cleve— (from the English Cleave) the ability to inflict damage on secondary targets by inflicting damage on the main target while having no loss (or with minimal loss) on the main one.

Cooldown- (from the English Cooldown, you can often find the abbreviation “CD”, or “kdshki”), the main meaning is the recovery time of the ability. Also often used in relation to bursts or various defensive abilities.

Miles and range zone- (from the English Melee and Ranged, respectively) Miles - means a melee zone, also used to name all classes/specs that deal effective damage directly in this zone. Range (can also be found “range”) usually means a zone that is not a melee zone, and, accordingly, is also used to name all classes/specs that can effectively deal damage from a distance.

Mitigation- will be more often used in combination with active mitigation (from the English Active Mitigation), which means reducing or mitigating incoming damage, requiring the use of certain abilities with a short duration, but at the same time with a short recovery time. The developers began using this model of abilities in the Mists of Pandaria, so it is already an established term for any class with a tank specialization.

Trait— (from the English Trait) the name of “talents”your Azerite armor

Talents

General information. As you reach several new levels, new “tiers” of talents will open up for you. In each such line, you can select only one talent at a time. Talents can influence abilities in different ways: add new ones, replace old ones, passively modify various effects and spells. You can change talents while in sanctuaries or in any recreation areas, however, if there are no such places nearby, you can use the “Tome of the Tranquil Mind,” which will allow you to change talents within a minute. Talents cannot be changed in battle. A talent cannot be changed if the talent chosen in this tier is on cooldown; you will first have to wait for it to be restored.

Azerite traits

Sets were removed from BfA, and “Azerite Armor” was added in their place. Now in any honor/head/shoulders there are several rings in which you have to choose one or another talent.

  • Infernal Armor. "Heat of the Underworld" "Increases your armor and inflicts fire damage on enemies attacking you in close combat. Since DH has a problem with face tanking, any increase in armor is very useful. This trait helps us with this, besides, attackers receive fire damage, which also increases our damage. An excellent trait, it is advisable to have 2-3 of these.
  • Hard shell. " Demonic Spikes » increases your armor every 1 sec. within 10 seconds. The principle is the same as “Infernal armor ”, the more armor, the easier it is to tank packs, and spend less time running from them. Consequently, more damage, less movement, and other bonuses from finding the pack in one place.
  • Enjoying the pain . Extends the action "Fire brand » up to 10 seconds. When " Fire Brand " on the main target dissipates, you receive a shield that absorbs damage for 15 seconds. The strength of the shield depends on how much damage you dealt to the target while " Fire Brand ". A good trait against a single target, due to the fact that we will receive a shield approximately every minute, and an extension of 2 seconds can be useful.
  • Harvest hour . Small Soul Fragments additionally restore a small amount of health. After you absorb 40 soul fragments, your next "Soul splitting "gives you the effect"Phantom Barrier ". Just a good talent that increases healing and also occasionally provides a shield, which is also nice. In m+ it is recommended in quantities of several pieces.

Game process:

We'll look at 2 main things: using your abilities for DPS, and using defensive cooldowns.

Remember one important rule that will save your life more than once: always start the battle with an already activated saveDemonic Spikes. Metamorphosis It’s better not to use it from the pool, it’s a fairly strong cooldown that’s best left for worse times. Use cooldowns before taking damage, not during.

As a result, if you can only rely on yourself, it is better to start the battle by usingDemonic thorns half a second before the pull. Now let's see what you should press during the battle and with what priorities for DPS.

  1. Heat of the Underworld per CD
  2. Fault , if you need Pain and soul fragments.
  3. If Blast Soul is taken , use on 4-5 fragments

All information about Demon Hunters - the second heroic class in World of Warcraft. In the guide we will tell you about Demon Hunter traits, class halls, Tier 19 sets, artifacts, and more.

Other class names: DH, Demon Hunter.

Current Demon Hunter guides (Battle for Azeroth 8.0.1):

Demon Hunter: Basic Information

Here are the main differences between Demon Hunters and other World of Warcraft classes:

  • Types of armor - leather and fabric;
  • Weapons used: twin glaives;
  • Resources used – health, rage (dd), pain (tank);
  • Two available races: Night Elves (Alliance) or Blood Elves (Horde);
  • Heroic class: playing for it starts at a higher level (95-100) immediately in the Legion;
  • Two roles - tank (specialization "Revenge") and damage dealer (specialization "Extermination");

Demon Hunter Mount

The new class's ground mount is the Fel Saber. There was also information about a second ground-based class mount (Demonic Saber), but it was later removed from the game.

Nothing is known yet about the flying Demon Hunter mount, but there is an assumption that it will be a bat.

You can learn more about the new mounts from our guide to Legion mounts.

Talents and abilities

Demon Hunters gain new talents at levels 99, 100, 102, 104, 106, 108, 110.

DHs tank and deal damage thanks to their incredible agility and speed, which is what the entire playstyle for this class is based on. Perhaps these will be the most mobile heroes in the game– they can double jump, jump into and out of combat quickly, and even open their wings to glide through the air!

Many abilities highlight the individuality of the class:

  • Tattoos protect the character: Demonic Charms and Seal of Silence.
  • The ability to temporarily transform into a demon through Metamorphosis.
  • High Mobility: Double Jump and Glide allow Demon Hunters to reach places that other classes cannot.
  • Demon Hunters can see demons on the mini-map, and with the help of Spectral Vision they can see through walls, see treasures and enemies (including enemies in a stealth state).
  • DHs use split glaives to deal with demons: Glaive Master, Warblade Throw.
  • Various cosmetic glyphs allow you to change the effects of certain abilities (for example, Glyph of Fel Wings).

Demon Hunter Artifacts

The new class has two artifacts available - one for each specialization:

  • – MX and OX (talent calculator)
  • Vengeance: Aldrachi Warblades - MX and OX (talent calculator)

How to get artifacts

After completing the introductory questline, each Demon Hunter will have to choose the artifact they want to obtain. Then you will need to complete a short chain of tasks to obtain a class artifact.

Closer to the release of the Legion, we will write detailed guides on obtaining both artifacts.

Appearance

From the very beginning, only one option for the appearance of the artifact is available for each artifact, but as players progress, they will unlock new options through various actions (PvP, PvE, achievements).

Set T19 for Demon Hunter

During the development of Legion, the T19 Demon Hunter set was reworked several times. Here is a video of its final version:

In addition to T19 in Legion, each class will have a separate set of class strongholds. Here is a video of such a set for Demon Hunter:

Character Customization

Regarding your character's appearance:

  • You can customize the appearance: horns, skin color, blindfold. A unique feature of the appearance of demon hunters will be tattoos.
  • According to the story, demon hunters will be awakened from their slumber to face the invasion of the Burning Legion. The game for this class begins 10 years ago, when they were sent by Illidan to the Black Temple.

In the past, demon hunters were night elves who decided to devote themselves to the fight against the Legion and absorbed demonic essence for this. Tattoos on their skin enhance their magical power, while keeping their armor light so as not to limit their incredible agility. The more Demon Hunters train, the more corrupted their appearance becomes.– hooves, horns, scars (all this manifests itself in the ability to customize the character).

Representatives of this class blind themselves to secure a demonic essence, and subsequently receive a new type of vision in return. Similar to the Cursed Vision of Sargeras item effect, the Demon Hunter can track demons on the minimap - this effect can be toggled on or off.

The eye mask used by Illidan is available for selection when customizing your character's appearance. At the same time, many new options have appeared, including masks that have never been seen on Demon Hunters before.

Class history

Demon Hunters have appeared in previous World of Warcraft expansions. If you want to learn more about the history of this class, take a look at the following quests and NPCs in the game.

Welcome to our game guide demon hunter specialization extermination (DD) in World Of Warcraft Legion 7.1. Here you will learn everything you need to know about playing in this specialization.

Class Overview

Havoc is the newest damage control specialization in World of Warcraft. It was introduced in the Legion pre-patch. This specialization places an emphasis on melee combat. Most abilities use Wrath to work. He is similar to our fellow Vengeance Demon Hunter “Pain.” The main task of this specialization is to spend the accumulated “Wrath” as correctly and in a timely manner as possible and use additional abilities if necessary (more on this in the paragraph with rotation).

Demon hunters have various abilities at their disposal that increase the speed of movement and increase the character's mobility. All this makes this class fast and flexible.

How it works?

“Anger” is your main resource. It is used by offensive abilities such as Chaos Strike and Blade Dance, and generates Demon Bite.

But it also greatly increases mobility, which can be detrimental in some situations. If that doesn't suit you, take Archenemy.

This path allows you to get all the best talent as early as possible. Wrath of the Illidari is very effective in dungeons. It's best to get the Tempter's Suffering before the release of the Emerald Nightmare Mythic mode. This path also eliminates weak and ineffective talents.

Relic Selection

When choosing relics, be guided by the item level and do not pay much attention to the talents enhanced by relics. This happens because the level of the relic affects the level of the artifact itself and the damage from it. If you have two relics of the same level, be guided by the following characteristics:

Versatility increases damage dealt and reduces damage received.

Speed affects many indicators, increasing auto attack speed, reducing GCD cooldown, reducing Blade Dance cooldown / also has a very good effect on damage done, so use both potions at your discretion. Download

Equipment, legendaries and the best in the slot

Best of the slot

This list is not the only correct one, since the game contains items hardened in battle and forged by titans, which are not taken into account here due to their rarity. If you are able to collect these items, the list may change.

Keep in mind that the Unstable Arcane Crystal drops from the World Boss, so it may not always be comparable to the trinkets found in Mythic difficulty dungeons. Therefore, recommendations may differ from average.

Equipment evaluation and comparison

Since the game contains items forged by titans and battle-hardened, it is impossible to compile a complete list of equipment. But they are assessed using weighting coefficients. They may vary depending on the overall level of items, so for a more accurate assessment it is recommended to conduct a simulation for an individual character.
  • Weapon damage per second: 0.84
  • Agility: 1
  • Critical Strike: 0.79
  • Speed: 0.7
  • Versatility: 0.73
  • Mastery: 0.58
If we compare two pairs of boots, we can know for sure which one is better. Filthy Worms Fury of Giants, allowing you to use it more often

Loot competition

Raid or boss loot that works for you also works for other classes. List of your possible competitors:

Items from the sets: Demon Hunters: Vengeance, Paladins, Priests, Hunters.
Leather armor: Demon Hunters: Vengeance, Druids, Monks, Rogues.
Amulets, Cloaks, Rings: All.
Accessories: Druids - Feral Power, Hunters, Monks - Windwalker, Rogues, Shamans - Cultivation.

That's all, good luck playing!

Demon Hunters(eng. Demon hunter) - mysterious warriors of darkness who have promised to fight against the forces of the Burning Legion, using their own disgusting abilities. They ritually blind themselves to develop what is known as ghostly vision, which helps them spot demons and the undead with ease. Demon Hunters fight with special weapons enhanced by magic and call upon demonic energy to enhance their combat skills. Although they are considered the most powerful warriors of the night elf people, many do not understand the dedication of the alliance that the demon hunters have made with the darkness.

Later, a group of night elves, inspired by Illidan's example, decided to fight destruction against destruction and agreed to use the powers granted by the demons against themselves. They couldn't gain their powers the same way as Illidan did, but they managed to find other ways. For thousands of years, night elves and even representatives of other peoples entered into an alliance with darkness, introducing demonic essence into their bodies, and fought against demons. While most night elves fear the demon hunters and their alliance with the darkness, they are known to have played a vital role in the fight against the remnants of the Burning Legion.

Capabilities

Demon Hunters have special abilities that help them destroy demons, but the power that fills their bodies allows them to defeat other opponents as well. They refused to wear heavy armor so as not to lose mobility and speed. The demon hunter's appearance becomes more demonic as he grows in power. Physical changes can take various forms, such as black blood, and usually do not interfere with combat. Reaching the pinnacle of his development, the demon hunter turns into a dark version of himself. While demonic energy does not affect a demon hunter's personality or relationships, it does significantly alter his body. Changes may include glowing red eyes, horns on the head, claws on the hands and feet, wings, cloven hooves instead of feet, a spiked tail, dark skin, and others. Because of his appearance, a demon hunter usually becomes an outcast.

They call upon fel to strengthen themselves, and most often use the energy of arcane magic or fire. Shadow energy is rare. The Demon Hunter can channel energy from his body into his own weapon to enhance it. Some of them can even surround their body with a shell of flame. The most skilled demon hunters can unleash the demon within them and temporarily transform into a being of incredible power.

Demon Hunters also possess incredible speed and agility, both of which are honed through training. They can perform double jumps and long somersaults, and can also glide using their wings.

Attitude

Night elves typically avoid demon hunters, refusing to understand the noble sacrifice they made. Because of this, they have to make another sacrifice - to become outcasts among their people. Other races also view demon hunters with prejudice, and they are rarely welcomed into Alliance or Horde settlements. Some villagers or warriors may allow the demon hunter to spend the night at an inn or rest briefly at a tavern, but view them with wariness and are relieved when they leave.

Few people realize that demon hunters are heroes and martyrs. Instead, they are seen as fools toying with dangerous powers and are compared to warlocks. This attitude from society makes many demon hunters bitter, and they become loners. However, some of them are lucky and they find a company that understands and appreciates them.

Dedication

The tradition of becoming a demon hunter dates back to the history of the night elves, and most of them still belong to this people. Some blood elves who sought retribution after the destruction of Quel'Thalas also became demon hunters. Representatives of other nations could become them, but such cases are extremely rare. To become a demon hunter, the hero must find another hunter willing to guide him through many complex rituals. These rituals include capturing a demon and destroying it to place part of the demonic essence inside the candidate's body. Part of the initiation ceremony also involves burning out one's own eyes with a magical blade to permanently trap the demonic essence in one's body. Most demon hunters hide their empty eye sockets behind strips of fabric. In exchange for this sacrifice, the demon hunter gains the ability to see the world without sight - ordinary creatures appear as flickering outlines against a gray and dull background, and demons blaze with bright flames.

Kingdoms will turn to ashes very soon, and we need to prepare for such events. In this article we will try to answer the most popular questions related todata with Demon Hunters.

1) How can I get early access to Demon Hunter?

- Demon Hunter will be available on August 10th on European servers for those who pre-ordered the Legion e-edition. Unfortunately, for those who ordered the collector's boxed edition, you will have to wait until you have the box itself.

2) What do I need to have to create a Demon Hunter?

- First, you must have the Legion add-on attached to your account. Secondly, there must be a level 70+ character on the server where you want to create a Demon Hunter. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the character must be on this server. In addition, you can only create one Demon Hunter per game world.

3) What can you do as a Demon Hunter in the prepatch?

- You can go through the entire Demon Hunter starting chain, which will help you level up to level 100. After this, all the content of the classic game and the prepatch will be available to you. However, until the expansion launches, you will not be able to level up beyond level 100.

4) What talents should I choose for the Demon Hunter in the prepatch?

There will be no problems with this: no talents - no problems! :) The fact is that the Demon Hunter's talents open at levels 99, 100, 102, 104, 106, 108 and 110. And in the prepatch, the maximum level is 100. Therefore, if you were waiting for the Demon Hunter, and your first impressions of him will be quite unpleasant - do not despair! Consider that you are playing as a level 20 character. You will also have an Artifact!

5) How long will the starting quest chain be?

- Personally, I got level 100 without completing the entire chain. If you are a leisurely player and like to read assignments and look around, then the quests will last for several hours. If you want to quickly finish this chain and are in a hurry, then you will spend a little more than an hour.

6) What professions are best for a Demon Hunter?

- I can offer two options. First: take two mining professions, like mining and herbalism. Thanks to high mobility, double jumps and hovering, this class will be much easier, faster and more enjoyable to obtain reagents for sale (there will be no flights in the Legion for a very long time). Second option: take skinning and leatherworking. In addition to the fact that you can create equipment for yourself, leatherworking now equips 5 other classes (yes, leatherworking also has chain mail)! It seems to me that this combination of professions will be very profitable at least at the beginning of the expansion, when the profession items are quite good.

We hope we were able to answer at least some of your questions. If you want to know anything else, write in the comments!
