Katana

For a samurai, this is an item of divine power and uniqueness, but for gangsta CJ, it is just a sharp stick with which to cut people. But even he can do some cool stuff with a katana. A special technique has appeared with a katana while running, having studied martial arts, and with a successful blow from the front you can stun passers-by by cutting off the victim’s head!

Shovel

It is not surprising that a shovel is in the arsenal of weapons. One blow can knock the brains out of anyone! So CJ can not only dig the graves of his enemies, but also kill them with the same shovel. Also, a long handle makes it possible to be relatively far from your opponent.

Chainsaw!

VC is here again! Remember how you cut your enemies, spattering the entire screen with blood... Every normal gangster in San Andres has this pistol (along with a bat), but meanwhile the 9mm is the main weapon of the state police! Semi-automatic machines

A simple weapon that bandits often carry with them. The special forces are also armed with this semi-automatic machine. The lethal force is inferior even to the 9mm, so the only advantage is the rate of fire, which is not that fast. But the main thing is that at the killer level you are given two machine guns in your hands and the magazine becomes 100 out of 50. You can also conduct a fly-by from an ultrasound scan on a jetpack. Another problem is the aim, which does not improve much even at the killer level. Cheap, so only worth buying from Ammu-nation if you have very little money, which is unlikely with our tactics.

The characteristics are almost the same as ultrasound, only it costs less. It is also possible to hold two machine guns with a total magazine of 100 and shoot while flying on a jetpack. By the way, the Tek-9 skill is upgraded along with Micro-UZI, so if you upgraded your skill on Micro-UZI, then Tek-9 will have exactly the same skill and it will be counted as a semi-automatic skill.

Although with the same tactics you will have millions!

How to break into an enemy party without a shotgun?! This thing is great for short-range shooting and if you need to destroy a crowd. With a shotgun, cops in cars will attack you if you get 2 or more stars, but it is not found on the streets without cheats. With skills, reloading improves and the weapon becomes even more effective due to faster firing. Getting a lot of ammo in Ammu-Nation is a little tedious, but you can get up to 10,000 ammo and shoot non-stop! The shot sometimes kills immediately, or throws you to the floor, taking away half your HP. This will give you those precious seconds to deal with the rest of the attackers while the immobolized enemy tries to collect the pieces of his body.

Actually the same shotgun only in a shortened form. It has a faster reload, but there are only 4 rounds in the magazine and after shooting them there is a long reload, which is not practical in a fierce firefight. But with the killer level, you can hold two sawn-off shotguns at once, thanks to the reduced size, so an enemy running away in a car can be destroyed in two clips. I do not advise non-cheaters to purchase a sawn-off shotgun (although decide for yourself), but with a cheat WANRLTW(without reloading) the sawn-off shotgun becomes a weapon of mass destruction! Light vehicles fly tens of meters away, and crowds of people fly to pieces immediately after 3 seconds of constant shooting from two such monsters! And if in the desert you keep shooting at CJ’s feet, the computer will even start to slow down due to the amount of dust! I strongly recommend the sawed-off shotgun to cheaters!!!

This one differs greatly from the standard one in the rate of fire. There is no need to reload after each shot, but there is a clip of 7 rounds. It is unlikely that the enemy will withstand more than two shots, but if it is something solid (like Smoke in the last mission), then he will not have a chance to recover from the previous shot when the next one hits him! Not very effective against crowds, but an excellent weapon against body armor.

Kalashnikov-47 assault rifle

One of the many things that made Russia famous is this legendary machine gun. The only drawback is the magazine, 30 rounds less than the American rival in the game. In other respects they are the same. You need to choose them depending on the progress in missions and the style of play: at the beginning it is not needed at all, when it becomes possible to capture bandit territories, the AK-47 will come in handy, because the bandits on the 2-3 wave will attack with AK-47s in the desert and LV missions there will be a lot of army casualties - it’s better to collect M4s from them, and then it’s up to you to decide.

Grenades

Standard grenades. Just not the edible ones, but the ones that tear you to pieces. A very effective remedy against groups of opponents attacking you in a crowd. For example, a wave of bandits on the sidewalk when seizing territory, or cops taking you by surprise when leaving the premises. You can control the throw range by holding the LMB while throwing. The more, the further. Now they have become so powerful that a precise throw towards the car will instantly explode it. You can even blow up a standing plane with one grenade, but you will have to scramble while it is smoking, since the explosion will not seem like much. You need to be careful when throwing indoors or close to obstacles - grenades can bounce off the walls/ceiling and fly back at you. Also, a throw at a minimum distance (just click LMB) will hit you.

Molotov

CJ doesn’t have enough brains to assemble such a clever invention, so he has to look for ready-made “cocktails” scattered throughout San Andres by the Russian Mafia. There is no powerful explosion from the Molotov, but a cloud of flame is scattered over several meters, absorbing everything into its fiery embrace. If you prefer to drag out the death of your enemies and admire their agony and heart-rending screams instead of a quick death, then Molotov is for you. One throw sets the corner of the car on fire and after 10 seconds it will begin to smoke heavily and can be easily finished off with a weapon. The main thing is that a molotov can destroy a tank! Throw one molotov so that the corner of the tank lights up, and when it burns out, throw another one so that the tank lights up again. Then get out of there at full speed. Funny thing: sometimes bottles bounce off the wall and bounce on the asphalt like a tennis ball, and then explode!

Where to find: north of the block to the cemetery in Los Santos, where one road smoothly branches off from the main one to Mulholland. There is a sniper on the roof nearby.

Radio Controlled Explosives

One of the new items in the arsenal. You can't throw an explosive backpack very far, but you can have some serious fun. The funny thing is that you can throw explosives anywhere and it will stick there. That is, you can stick these things on the ground, walls, cars and even people (and they won’t notice anything!). Then move away/wait for the victim with the bomb to move away and explode at a convenient moment for you. The detonation of all previously decomposed bombs is carried out by selecting the detonator button (it appears in your arsenal automatically after planting the first bomb) and pressing the LMB. This convenient system can be used if you need to arrange a festive surprise for the enemy when he comes closer, blow up a moving car or move an obstacle. The main thing is not to forget where you threw the bombs, otherwise you yourself will be caught in the explosion.

Tear gas

A mixture of various chemicals that cause severe eye irritation and promote immobilization. This is exactly what any enemy expects when interfering in CJ's affairs before a hail of bullets flies at them. Just throw the canister into a crowd of enemies and while they are coughing and straightening up, take out your weapon and get rid of the helpless enemies or just run away. The gas is released within 10 seconds, which is quite enough + a few seconds of coughing and shortness of breath for the victims after the gas is released. No matter how many canisters you throw, no one will die from them and the gas has no effect on CJ at all!

Where to find: On the stairs opposite the T-intersection in the southwest of the Mulholland interchange, Los Santos.

Heavy artillery

Flamethrower

Like molotovs, this weapon sets people and the surrounding area on fire. Although it is in this category, there is nothing cool about it. The flamethrower is only “heavy” so, unlike a molotov, you cannot sprint and jump with it. Also, the arson radius is much smaller than the Molotov’s and the lethal force depends on the target. The advantage over other guns in this section is the ability to destroy tanks, but this, like cars, will take a few seconds, which can cost you your life. You can also surprise the enemy only by slightly touching him with flame, but there is a Molotov for that. In short, if you are not a maniac who loves flames and the heart-rending screams of enemies, a flamethrower is not for you, especially since there are other weapons that are much better.

Minigun!!!

This is undeniably the most lethal weapon in the game. In real life, miniguns are installed on helicopters and cars, but in GTA there is a mobile version that you can carry with you and hide in your pocket with 10,000 rounds of ammunition). The damage is so great that the sniper principle applies: “one shot - one death.” This means it is IMPOSSIBLE to hit an ordinary passerby without killing him, only a minigun is 60 times faster than a sniper! With 60 bullets piercing the body per SECOND, not a single car will last longer than a second, and neither will air transport! With such a weapon, CJ will quickly restore order in San Andres so that not only the cops, but even the army will be afraid of him, not to mention the bandits. You can instantly destroy enemies on foot, on wheels, on water, in the air and even under water), so of all four types here I strongly recommend that you choose a minigun!

Where to find: in the underground garage in the northeast of Las Venturas, on the Kinkerd Bridge closer to San Fierro, at a construction site in the southeast of Las Venturas, or complete the Toreno mission and all 4 heavy guns will appear in his house (the best option).

Handheld Anti-Tank Grenade Launcher

And once again we describe a weapon based on the Russian RPG-7. It would be easier to call it a rocket launcher, especially since it is of little use against tanks in GTA (unless you are in SAMP). A primitive tube with a sight into which an explosive missile warhead is stuffed and launched at the enemy. Unlike real life, missiles fly exactly in a straight line and if you aim well, then only another object in the way or moving the target can prevent you from hitting the target. Aiming well is a completely different story. When you press RMB, a sight will appear like a sniper rifle, but there is no black field around the sight and the sight itself will appear in the form of brackets forming a square. This does not mean that all targets in this square will be hit. The missile itself will fly to a point slightly below the center of that “square” and will hit even the smallest target, such as a cop at the other end of Glen Park. If you shoot at a group of people and cars 20-30 meters away from you, then everything in the square will really be destroyed, but otherwise there is no point in checking this sight. If you are shooting at a moving target, you will need to calculate the angle of flight so that the missile and the target meet in the same place. It's difficult, so I don't recommend carrying a rocket launcher with you.

Heat-seeking RPG

A much more advanced device with a principle similar to a simple rocket launcher, but there is one very convenient feature. If there is a vehicle in the sight, a green circle will appear on it - the rocket has found a heat source. Then the circle will turn red and this means that the missile is locked on the target and you can fire. The result is “fire and forget,” that is, the missile itself will fly after the found target, even if that target moves and changes direction. There are several disadvantages. One of them is choosing the shortest path to the target with a missile, and this path can be through walls or corners of buildings. This means there is a possibility that the rocket will decide to cut off and explode against a wall or any other obstacle along the way. Trees and lampposts will also detonate the rocket upon impact. Even while aiming, any object resets all progress in fixing the target. This means that if the car you are aiming at passes behind a pole or another car, then you will have to wait again for those 3-4 seconds needed to fix that target. Perhaps if the target is reset, the missile will jump to another target. It is worth remembering that rockets do not lock on people, they will fly like from a regular rocket launcher if the target is not fixed and fly only 400 meters and then explode in the air, but they fly much longer behind a fixed target. Unfortunately, you can find this weapon with a small number of missiles, but one missile will hit a car or helicopter and a hit is almost guaranteed.

General description of the weapon

A very limited number of weapons were initially presented. All of them are listed below.

In total, there are five types of weapons in Grand Theft Auto, one of which is generally hand-to-hand combat and does not cause damage, while the other 4 can kill people and destroy vehicles. There are no differences in weapons for GTA 1 and the London expansions, except for graphics.

Weapons in GTA 1 can be obtained by breaking boxes scattered around the city, and obtaining weapons does not depend on whether you are in a car or on foot. It can also be taken from killed people who were armed.

It is interesting that the weapons from GTA 1 served as a prototype for weapons in the remaining parts of Grand Theft Auto, except for the fourth, where the flamethrower was not available.

Name and characteristics

Weapon icons are given in two versions - for the original game and for the GTA London add-ons.

Hand-to-hand combat.
There is no icon, it is activated when there is no weapon in your hands.
