Mass effect andromeda requirements. Mass Effect: Andromeda - System requirements. Mass Effect Andromeda System Requirements

Mass Effect Andromeda release date just today: March 21st. Therefore, the GameSpace team decided to collect all the impressions from the gameplay together in Mass Effect Andromeda review. I was able to play after the preload started last week, out of 10 available hours I had enough for 6. If you are still thinking about buy Mass Effect Andromeda, - system requirements are waiting for you at the end of the article.

The game begins with character selection: you can choose a man (Scott Ryder) or a woman (Sarah Ryder) as the protagonist. These twins will be part of the plot in any case, even if your choice falls on another character. The father of these guys, Alec Ryder, was given the task of creating a new house and was a pioneer in this matter. The protagonist will be surrounded by a team consisting of aliens and semi-humans who will help you during the game.

Mass Effect Andromeda plot

Immediately after you have decided on a character, the story begins: you are in the distant year 2185, the leading command center “Nexus” has been launched, with representatives of four races. 20 thousand inhabitants have been moving towards Andromeda for 600 years; after landing, a center and places for further housing and development will be developed.

It is worth clarifying that Mass Effect Andromeda events takes place chronologically between Mass Effect 2 And Mass Effect 3, and the latest game in the series is not connected to the previous ones. Although certain canonical characteristics of the game series are still present.

Mass Effect Andromeda Review: What's Bad?

Was Mass Effect Andromeda bad? I was struck by the very buggy animations of the characters' faces and bodies from the very beginning of the game. You may have seen many animations and videos on this topic.Let's move on>

Another strange thing is the strict and emotionless dialogues, which is generally not typical for this series of games. The game allows you to choose from several options, which can be described as “pessimistic, optimistic, realistic.” Even if the main genre of the game is not interactive cinema, you can’t neglect the choice so much. Which still doesn’t have a strong impact on history.

Attitude towards the protagonist - “You are the Chosen One.” Well, of course, I play the game and fix/toggle/unlock everything I need. No one will do this but me. But why talk about this so often?

Mass Effect Andromeda Review: What's Good?

However, the further you go, the better the game becomes. The plot becomes more complex, becomes more interesting, and the best that is in Mass Effect Andromeda- a well-designed environment that is very pleasant to explore.

It can serve as a worthy excuse for shortcomings in animation.

also in Mass Effect Andromeda exciting and detailed battles.

Verdict: expect patches. Typically, technical problems are resolved within the first couple of months. Remember the funny moments of Battlefield 1? Now that they have been eliminated, playing Battlefield 1 is a pleasure. In addition, the developers promised to fix all problems related to animation. For now GameSpace team rates Mass Effect Andromeda 6.5/10, and we are waiting for patches.

Let's move on>

The Mass Effect trilogy is by far one of the most successful space RPGs ever made. Captain Shepard and his brave partners had already become family to many gamers, so no one wanted the series to end. However, the developers have made it clear that the trilogy will be a complete story, and you may not expect its continuation. Many gamers perceived this as the complete end of the ME series, but it was too early to be upset - it turns out that the developers decided not to close the series, but simply completed the storyline. And you can expect the release of a new, fourth part of the game. In this article you will find all the information currently available about the new project, including what many people care about - the expected system requirements. Mass Effect: Andromeda is the name that the upcoming game received, and, apparently, this is not the working title, but the final title, that is, under it the project will go gold. It was supposed that this would happen at the end of 2016, but the developers have already announced that the release is being postponed to 2017. And while all fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the project, you can study the system requirements of Mass Effect: Andromeda, as well as learn some details about what you can expect from it in general.

Plot

Before you know the expected system requirements for Mass Effect: Andromeda, it's worth taking a look at some interesting aspects of the project. The first thing worth noting is the new main character. As mentioned above, in all three parts the protagonist was Captain Shepard, whom the user completely created and customized himself. Now the main character will be a completely different person, who is a researcher by profession. The game will take place in a completely different part of space, with different characters (although it is believed that some of the minor characters from the original trilogy may also appear, but this information has not been confirmed). The new main character will be the leader of an operation to search for a new planet that could be inhabited by people - and this is practically all that is known about the plot component of the game today.

Gameplay

As for the gameplay of the project planned for next year, even less is known. Firstly, gamers can expect the return of the all-terrain vehicle from the first part of the game - of course, it will be different from the original, it will have a variety of interesting functions, but it will not be able to fire, so we should expect that its purpose in the new project it will be completely different. Secondly, the developers announced a complete reworking of the combat system - it will be much more complex and interesting, which promises much more impressive gameplay and an exciting pastime. And thirdly, one cannot miss the fact that at the E3 exhibition the use of a jet pack, or jet pack, was shown - so far only the fact is known that the backpack will be present in the game. How to use it, why, and how effective it will be - all this is in question.

Main character

It has already been said above that Captain Shepard is a thing of the past, and the new game will have a completely new main character. It’s worth noting right away that if you’ve seen the trailer for the new game, it may mislead you. It shows a man whom many took to be the new protagonist, but this is not so - this person has nothing in common with the character you will play as. Strictly speaking, little is known about him either - it has already been said above that he will be a researcher who is in search of a new home for people. It is also known that he has N7 training, like Commander Shepard, but he does not have the fame that the former protagonist had. You start as a completely unknown person, and you will need to earn your fame from scratch. Well, this is all the data that is known about the upcoming game, now it’s time to look at the estimated system requirements of Mass Effect: Andromeda.

operating system

Currently, in the case of Mass Effect: Andromeda, system requirements are not divided into minimum and recommended for the reason that they are not exact. The game is in the early stages of development, so over time the requirements will most likely change and become more precise. In this article you will find out the data reported by the game developers, but do not think that this is final information - there may well be many changes ahead. But for now we can consider the data that is already available. So, as for the operating system that should be installed on your computer, the developers say that you will need the latest version, that is, at least 64-bit Windows 10. We can only hope that the game will still have support for Windows 7, but given that Microsoft is rapidly moving towards universalization, there is a possibility that the user will not be allowed to choose. Like other games, Mass Effect: Andromeda has system requirements on PC that are not limited to just the operating system.

CPU

The processor of your computer must be quite powerful - it must have at least four cores, the performance of each of which must be at least three gigahertz. In the case of Mass Effect: Andromeda, the system requirements on PC may look quite daunting at the moment, but don't despair - wait a little longer. For now, you can only take a closer look at in which aspects your computer is most inferior to the requirements - and think about optimization. Direct optimization for a computer game will be needed after the official announcement of the final data for Mass Effect: Andromeda PC. System requirements may ultimately differ greatly, so there’s definitely no need to rush.

RAM

RAM is, as everyone knows, the main criterion for evaluating a computer when determining its compatibility with a particular game. This is why RAM should be given maximum attention when you are looking at Mass Effect system requirements. Feedback on how the upcoming game looks has been overwhelmingly positive so far, so it's no surprise that the requirements now list a minimum of eight gigabytes of RAM. It is impossible to create an incredibly beautiful game with amazing physics and immense possibilities so that it uses a couple of gigabytes of RAM. You have to pay for a masterpiece.

Video card

What is known at the moment is that the game will run with a video card with at least two gigabytes of memory, and this is not as scary as other points. However, as in previous cases, you should not focus too much on these indicators, since they may change in the future - and at this point the probability is as high as possible. The fact is that graphically the new game will actually be amazing, and it is extremely unlikely that it will run at maximum settings with only two gigabytes of video memory.

Free place

Well, the last point of system requirements is free space on the hard drive. You should have at least thirty-five gigabytes of it, which is also not particularly scary, given the fact that some modern computer games can require about a hundred gigabytes.

At the moment, it is extremely difficult to find any information about this project on the Internet, and even more so to say anything specifically. So let’s share what we know so far. We invite you to post your own impressions and predictions regarding Mass Effect 4: New Age in the comments of this article.

It has already been 2 years since the release of Mass Effect 3 and, although there have been no official statements from BioWare, we know that the team is busy developing a new part of the Mass Effect game. The BioWare Montreal team actively communicates with hundreds of its fans via Twitter, from where it became known about the statement of the studio director, Yanick Roy, that the game is in the development stage. The first design work began at the end of 2012.

Firstly, we know that the story will focus on a new hero, who will not be another version of Commander Sheppard, but the latest events of Mass Effect 3 will be reflected in the new game. The galaxy is a huge space, so history will most likely be told from a different angle.

Sheppard's companions are also unlikely to return, although E3 video suggests the Krogan and Human races will be present. It also became known that the new game will have multiplayer.

From the videos below, we can conclude that the events will take place in another part of the universe - a good attempt by the developers to cover their tracks for Mass Effect 3 and start the series anew. The gaming environment will become more vibrant with unique worlds representing vast alien spaces, which may be the reason for creating a model for exploring new territories through vehicular exploration.

The next Mass Effect will use the Frostbite 3 engine, just like Dragon Age: Inquisition.

  1. Operating system: Windows 7 (64-bit)
  2. Video card: Radeon HD 5830, nothing is known yet about the parameters of the GeForce video card
  3. RAM: 6 GB
  4. CPU: Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66GHz, Phenom II X4 905e
  5. Disk space: At least 18GB
  6. DirectX 11.0

Many players were eagerly awaiting BioWare to share reliable information with the gaming community about its new project - the space role-playing game Mass Effect: Andromeda.

In particular, many were interested in the exact release date of Mass Effect: Andromeda, the approximate cost of its versions for PC and consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One), the possibility of pre-ordering a new RPG, and, of course, the capabilities and features of multiplayer. By the way, registration is currently underway for everyone who wants to participate in the open beta testing of the multiplayer mode of the fourth part of Mass Effect. To do this, you need to visit the official BioWare website and fill out the participant form provided there.

Opening of pre-order and box art of the disc version

And so, on November 7, the veil of secrecy over the new game, which had plagued hundreds of thousands of players for so long, was finally lifted.

The developers released a special story trailer, at the end of which the exact release date of the action role-playing game was indicated: March 2017.

Almost simultaneously with the release of the video (and some retail chains managed to do this even a little earlier), pre-orders were opened for various versions of the video game, both disc and digital.

For example, the standard edition for personal computers will cost $60, while the same edition for consoles will cost $70.

Everyone was also amazed by the Best Buy retail chain, which managed to post an image of how the official boxed versions of Mass Effect: Andromeda for consoles and PC will be designed.

Mass Effect: Andromeda plot

It is known that the plot of Mass Effect 4 will send gamers to a distant galaxy called Andromeda, where a serious struggle will unfold between the main character and his comrades on the one hand, and a previously unknown enemy on the other.

The goal of the struggle is survival in hostile territory far from the Milky Way, and the reconquest of one’s new “home.” Therefore, the new main character will be the so-called Pathfinder.

According to the developers, this will be a non-class character with initially open skill branches for study, a born leader, capable of uniting a team of diverse research companions, and at the same time, possessing excellent military training.

True, it will not be possible to create a unique soldier, since the game will in every possible way encourage the development of skills in any one direction chosen by the player. If necessary, skill points can be easily transferred again.

Multiplayer game mode

The multiplayer mode will be represented by a game session with the simultaneous participation of up to four people united in the Apex Force strike force. According to the plot, this detachment was sent to the Andromeda landing zone a little earlier than the Pioneer ships, after which they lost contact with the command center.

Players in multiplayer will be able to independently choose locations, enemies and difficulty modifiers that determine the value of the reward for successfully completing the mission. Besides, in

Andromeda will also feature unique mission types where players will not be able to change the difficulty level.

Also in multiplayer there will be the ability to make microtransactions, although this will not be mandatory and, according to the developers, will not undermine the balance of gameplay.

In addition, BioWare promises a lot of interesting characters, a large selection of weapons, not only long-range but also short-range, highly maneuverable Ark transport, an advanced system of dynamic shelters, a high level of destructibility of the environment and stunningly beautiful graphics. The advanced Frostbite 3 engine will be responsible for the latter.

Game Review

The release of Mass Effect: Andromeda turned out to be a very controversial event, dividing players into two opposing camps. Some were sincerely happy about the release of a new part of their favorite video game, others considered it an outright fake from BioWare, not worthy of any attention.

The reason for such a hostile attitude towards the new role-playing game by a significant part of the gaming community was that the demo videos, of which many were released after the announcement of Mass Effect 4, showed the world its many shortcomings. And the players turned to the developer and publisher (BioWare and EA, respectively) with a request to pay attention to this and fix it before the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda. Alas, their requests, which were the result of the kindest and most sincere intentions, remained unheeded.

We wanted the best...

If we characterize the new part of Mass Effect and point out all its problems as briefly as possible, then this is Dragon Age: Inquisition (equally unsuccessful and today rightly forgotten), transferred to another universe.

There seems to be a very good plot story here, which from the very beginning ignites a serious fire of curiosity in gamers. Which, however, is very quickly extinguished by stupid and dull dialogues, uninteresting puppet characters with stupid animation and implausible, repulsive faces (who would have thought that this was even possible in 20017?), and a huge number of absolutely unnecessary, boring tasks. This is especially true for side quests, the only joy of which is that they do not have to be completed.

As you can see, there are unpleasant parallels with DA: Inquisition.

Pioneers

The main character is one of many thousands of galactic travelers who set off on huge ark ships to a new galaxy (Andromeda) in search of a new, better life.

During this journey, which lasted six hundred years, the space travelers were in suspended animation - a state of deep sleep in which all life processes in the body slow down almost to a complete stop.

And after waking up, they immediately discovered that everything had gone completely wrong as they would have liked, and the space adventure was in fact not such a pleasant and exciting experience.

Firstly, the vast majority of the arks have disappeared somewhere. Whether they fell behind, got lost or died is unknown. Just as the fate of the head of the expedition, who disappeared without a trace (and, according to some of her close associates, died), was unknown.

Secondly, the survivors encountered an unknown substance that was devouring the expedition ships along with the crew.

And as if all this were not enough, the travelers suffered a bitter disappointment, which negated the whole point of the journey itself: almost all worlds that were potentially considered suitable for the existence of earthlings and other intelligent races turned out to be lifeless empty spaces.

Of course, many members of the expedition, after such a severe disappointment, became embittered, declared their former leaders to blame for everything that happened and started a rebellion.

It is up to the main character of Mass Effect: Andromeda to unravel this whole tangle of troubles, thanks to the existing implant with the most powerful AI, who received the title of “Pioneer”.

Andromeda World

The universe in the new RPG consists of a couple of dozen planets, united in star systems, and countless space stations. The planets are varied, but each seems to be created according to the most primitive science-fiction template.

For example, there are snowy planets, desert planets, and planets entirely made up of phosphorescent jungles.

Joy

On the pleasant side, it is worth noting the well-recognized atmosphere of the franchise and many references to previous video games in the Mass Effect series.

The musical accompaniment was very good, especially the theme from the main menu.

It is possible to explore the surfaces of new planets on an all-terrain vehicle. “Nomad”, this is the name of the local all-terrain vehicle, is very easy to operate and unpretentious in maintenance. In addition to making some quests easier to complete, it also allows you to admire some stunning sci-fi-inspired views.

By the way, the new game has enough entertainment, and some scenes turned out to be truly touching.

Combat system

This is the last aspect of the video game that I would like to go into in more detail.

Initially, it seems that the action in Mass Effect 4 is completely absent. The shooting turned out to be completely indistinct, and also tied to the cover system. And it’s not always possible to understand how well the hero hid from enemy snipers.

However, this is only a problem for the first few hours of the game. Further, when the hero receives the necessary biotic skills, acquires a jetpack, and the player himself gets comfortable with the controls, the game will become much more interesting.

The hero becomes more mobile and unpredictable, capable of jumping high and hovering in the air, shooting enemies in Slow-mo mode or throwing them in different directions. Otherwise, in an instant, fly up to them from tens of meters away, shooting at point-blank range with a shotgun or carrying out spectacular combined strikes and grabs.

In general, the battles in Mass Effect: Andromeda can be called a success. Although, you won’t be able to enjoy them while fighting like in the previous ME parts.

Bottom line

The game actually turned out to be quite ambiguous. If you perceive it as a logical continuation of the series, trying to complete each of the tasks proposed by the developers, then you can very quickly become disappointed. The same goes for the combat system of Mass Effect: Andromeda.

But if you perceive it as a more modern and independent game, even within the framework of the franchise, giving preference in the gameplay to story quests and paying attention to the relationship with your partners - Andromeda reveals itself from a completely different, unexpectedly pleasant side.

Official introductory video (trailer)

Gameplay trailer

From 3rd person, which is from BioWare on the Frostbite Engine 3.5.

Plot:

According to some rumors, it is known that the central character Mass Effect: Andromeda there will be a completely different character, and not the familiar Captain Shepard, and also that events will develop in a completely new “territory” of space. The main characters of the original trilogy are missing, but it can be assumed that minor ones will appear. When announcing the game, BioWare confirmed that the game will take place in the far, far away Andromeda Galaxy, and we will play as an explorer whose task is to find a new land for people. The duration of the game will differ significantly from the trilogy.

Gameplay:

It was officially confirmed that the Mako all-terrain vehicle (first part) will return, which will become more mobile and gain several functions, but will lose the ability to fire.

The development studio stated that the combat system Mass Effect: Andromeda much more advanced and complex than in previous parts. The game's trailer, which was presented at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015, showed the use of a jetpack.

Main character

As mentioned earlier, the main character Mass Effect: Andromeda there will be a new character. His main difference from Captain Shepard is his lack of reputation as a legend. He will have to achieve respect on his own, step by step. The hero has N7 Alliance training (like Shepard) and is a pureblood. We would also like to note that the character that everyone saw as key in the trailer is not our hero.

According to creative director Mac Walters, the two playable characters we saw earlier are actually brother and sister.

When players start a new game Mass Effect: Andromeda they will have a choice of what gender they want to play: male or female. The surname of the main characters is Rider, but presumably you can give them your own name. “They both exist simultaneously in the game world. If you play as a female Rider, your brother is out there somewhere in the universe,” Mac explained.

There in the big wide universe there is father our heroes. In fact, this is exactly what we saw in N7 armor in the first Andromeda trailer way back in 2014. In general, we were given to understand that the family theme in Andromeda will play an important role. The developers paid special attention to love relationships, which will not be limited to a couple of intimate scenes, as in the previous parts, but will gradually develop as you interact with the object and even with others, i.e. all our actions will influence their success.

It's quite unusual for BioWare to give players the choice of two completely different characters, each presumably starting out in different parts of the galaxy and having their own unique story, at least until they inevitably meet.

Bioware has published online new Mass Effect Andromeda trailer, from which we learn our main enemy- an ominous alien named Arkon, who commands a huge star fleet.

Mass Effect: Andromeda release date expected on March 21, 2017 in the US, and March 23 in Europe.
