"Adventure Time: Card Wars. Finn vs. Jake" belongs to the CCG genre and is a board duel between two players. Each of them has his own deck of at least 40 cards, and tries to defeat his opponent using various tactics, placing powerful creatures on the battlefield, making optimal moves, using the abilities of cards in time, etc. - all in order to reduce your opponent's life from 25 to 0. Since this is a CCG, you are free to build your own deck, but there are a few rules. There cannot be less than 40 cards, and there is no upper limit at all. Also, a deck cannot contain more than three identical cards. Epic battles take place on a battlefield of four lands - as canonical as possible, just like in a cartoon.

Game process

As mentioned above, the game takes place on a special field, which is built before the battle. The land sheets of both players are laid out opposite each other so that a field of 2x4 cells is obtained. Land cards are both resources for paying for cards and cells for laying out your creatures or buildings. The position of the creatures is extremely important; they can only attack each other if they are found in the same area, that is, opposite each other. This general rule applies to other elements of the game.

Each player starts with his own unique deck, which must consist of at least 40 cards. Each player shuffles the deck and draws 5 cards into their hand. If for any reason they do not suit him, the player has the right to repeat the procedure once - shuffle the deck again and deal himself cards.

The first player is determined. It is important to remember that the first player cannot attack or flop cards on his first turn.

Let's look at the structure of the game. In total, there are seven different phases of a move, after which the move is transferred to another player:

Preparing your cards - all laid out creature and building cards that were flipped or activated are returned to their original state so that they can be used again.
Drawing a card is a pleasant phase, because every turn you will draw one card into your hand. Even on your very first move.
Action phase - the player has two actions each turn and needs to decide what he will spend them on. Actions are spent to pay for playing creature, building, or spell cards.
Floops - many creature and building cards have special properties, to activate which the card itself must be flopped, that is, turned over, thus indicating that it has been activated. A flopped creature, for example, will not be able to attack this turn, but will be able to defend on its opponent’s turn. You can only flop until the attack phase.
Drawing a card per action - if you have unspent actions, you can exchange them for additional cards from your deck, one card per action. You can take two cards, you can draw a card and play it if you have an action left and that’s enough for the card. There is no hand limit in the game and you don't lose if your deck runs out, as happens in other CCGs.
Attack Phase - During this phase, all non-fluppled creatures will bravely rush into battle, whether you like it or not! However, you choose the order of attack yourself. When a creature attacks, it activates. The creature first attacks an enemy creature in the same zone, and then directly attacks the opponent, removing his life points. Creatures deal damage to each other at the same time, so that the defending creature is able to defeat the attacking one. This occurs at the moment when the number of wounds (damage) becomes equal to or greater than the creature's total defense pool.
End of turn - after the attack, your turn is over, and it is passed on to your opponent, who will also play all these phases.

To pay for playing creature, spell, and building cards whose cost to play ranges from 0 to 2 action points, you will also need to have an equal amount of lands of the desired color.
