At the other end I saw a petrified woman who looked like a nanny, and decided that this could be the prince’s nanny. In her hands she held a medallion, which lacked a portrait of her pupil, and which could provide answers to many questions that were swirling in my head.

But of course, I couldn’t talk to her yet, so I decided to just wander around the castle in the hope of meeting at least one living soul. In one of the halls I found the royal tailor, who suffered the same fate as the prince and the nanny. Judging by the decoration of his room, this man created wonderful outfits, and even the curse did not make him distracted from his favorite work. My next visit was the room of the princess, the prince's sister. And, judging by what I saw there, she was a very educated girl and was even interested in alchemy. I also ended up in the king's room, which was the richest and largest in the entire castle. In one of the rooms I found a diamond key to a box that stood near the stone prince.

Opening it, I found a portrait of the prince, put it in the locket and again put it in the hands of the nanny. And she miraculously came to life again. The woman said that the prince disappeared during his coronation, and she went to look for him when an evil spell stopped her here. After this, the nanny reported that they were bewitched by one woman, which could mean one thing. But she never said what exactly this could mean. It became clear to me that this woman didn’t know much and I needed to try to find someone else. I went out into the palace garden and saw a petrified gardener there. I remembered that I heard somewhere that he and the prince grew some magical flowers. I tried to repeat the same thing and grow the same flowers. I succeeded, thanks to which the gardener also came to life.

He said that he had served in this castle the longest, so he remembered his mother, the queen, who died very young. The king grieved for her for a long time, but then decided to marry a second time. The second marriage turned out to be even shorter than the first. On the day of the coronation, he was working in the garden when the cook asked him to bring some herbs to prepare a celebratory dinner dedicated to the coronation. Suddenly the princess appeared in the garden and ordered the prince's garden to be destroyed. The gardener then thought that this was terrible insensitivity. After that he left, and I thought that this man had shed some light on this mystery, but not enough to understand what happened in the castle. So I thought it wouldn’t hurt to talk to the tailor as well. And for this it was necessary to complete his last work.

When the tailor was able to talk to me, he told me that on the day of the coronation there was terrible turmoil, and he was responsible for the dress of the future king. And when he entered the prince’s room for fitting, he managed to notice someone hiding behind the mirror. The tailor wanted to look, but he could not take a step because he had turned to stone. With this he said goodbye, and his story did not help me at all to understand how to disenchant the prince. Therefore, I decided to also talk to the cook. After she too was disenchanted, the woman said that she had been working in the castle only recently, but had heard what the servants were whispering about. As it turned out, the king had a secret and it was somehow connected with the closed tower. After that, she fussed and said that breakfast needed to be served. Otherwise, if it is submitted at the wrong time, the princess will deprive her of her salary. And again, no reliable information.

I remembered that when I was walking through the garden, I saw a family crypt, which I decided to visit. Inside was a petrified cemetery watchman who loved the old king so much that he looked after his coffin to the last. It was even rumored that he collected coins with his portrait. And I found one of these coins for this devoted man and brought him back to life. He said that one day he was going to have lunch and saw the princess entering the crypt. He did not ask himself what she might need there, but simply followed her. But when he entered there, he saw no one. Only behind one of the graves a crystal ball gleamed dimly. And when the watchman was about to leave, some shadow flashed past him, but the princess was nowhere to be found. After he left, I saw a crystal ball left by this man on one of the graves.

I pulled back the lid of one of the coffins and discovered an underground passage underneath, the door of which was helped by a crystal ball. And already behind this door I found the petrified princess. There was also some kind of laboratory where I prepared the potion according to the recipe. It was this that helped me disenchant the princess, and she told me that when their father was dying, he called her brother to him, not her, that he had offended the princess. And then she decided to eavesdrop on their conversation. From it she understood that the king’s second wife, whom everyone thought was dead, had not actually died, but had been convicted of evil witchcraft. That is why many years ago the king imprisoned her in this basement to protect his family from her evil magic. The door was closed using a crystal ball, and the ball itself was hidden.

And while the prince was mourning his father, the princess found this crystal ball and took it. He wanted to know if their stepmother was really as bad as their father said. And as soon as she opened the door, the witch immediately bewitched her. And now she understood that her anger at her father had brought misfortune to everyone, especially her poor brother. She asked to bring him back to life and gave me an amulet that was supposed to help me with this. After the princess left, I entered the basement in which the witch was locked. She tried to scare me with water and fire, but I knew how to fight her. After she was defeated, I found a mirror in which the power of her spells was contained. I placed the princess's amulet on this mirror and it shattered into small pieces. The prince was saved and thanked me. He tried to say something else about the witch, but didn’t have time - it was time for me to go back. But I felt in my gut that this would not be my last visit to the Royal House Museum.
